Micro-electrodeposition is an important part of micro-metal processing which has a wide range of applications in many fields.Electrodeposition refers to the reduction of metal ions to metal single substance in solution by electrochemical deposition under an electric field.In this paper,a method for metal structures fabrication by micro-jet electrodeposition based on the traditional jet electrodeposition theory and its special localization was proposed.The process and mechanism research were carried out by constructing a micro-jet electrodeposition platform.Finally,the rapid prototyping of overhanging metal structure in micron scale was realized.The research mainly studied the preparation method of metal microstructure by theoretical analysis,experimental device design,numerical simulation and process analysis.The main research contents and innovations are as follows:(1)A processing method for preparing metal structures by capillary-assisted microelectrodeposition was proposed.A high-precision three-axis micro-jet electrodeposition platform was designed and constructed.A micro-jet nozzle and a micro-electrode injection cycle device were designed,which finally realized jet electrodeposition processing with a diameter of 0.3mm.(2)The control design of the whole system was completed using STM32+μC/OS-II control scheme.A controllable constant current circuit was integrated into the circuit as a processing power supply which has a TFT resistive touch screen to realize the convenience of operation.A constant machining gap control method using the voltage between electrodes as feedback signal was proposed through simulation and experimental verification.And the automatic processing of metal structure was realized.(3)The effect of current density on the formation of columnar micro metal structures was studied experimentally.Taking the preparation of the micro copper column as an example,the process experiment was carried out at different current densities,and the analysis showed that the current density has an important influence on the performance of the micro electrodeposition.When the current density was controlled properly,the surface quality of the micro copper column was better,the growth rate was faster,the microhardness and modulus were improved.(4)The overhanging ability of micro metal structure forming under different current densities was investigated.It was found that the tilt growth angle can up to 45° at a lower current density.With the increase of current density,the rapid growth of the columnar structure makes it difficult for the electrolyte jet to have a good guiding effect,and the overhanging ability is gradually weakened.Based on this research,the metal space helix structure was successfully fabricated.
