Energy plays a pivotal role in the national economy and is closely linked to the country’s economic development.China’s coal resources are abundant. With the advancement of science and technology, mine disasters continue to decline, but the natural fire of coal still poses a threat to the safe mining of coal. Therefore,it is very necessary to prevent the spontaneous combustion of coal, ensure safe mining underground, and provide a safe working environment for employees.Five different coal types were selected as research objects.Through the temperatureprogrammed oxidation experiments of different metamorphic coal samples, the experimental data processing analysis and research were carried out to obtain the relationship between the different gases produced by coal spontaneous combustion and the oxidation temperature of coal.According to the principle of index gas selection, the gas index for reacting the natural ignition state of each coal type is selected from the gas generated during the spontaneous combustion oxidation process of coal. The occurrence of coal spontaneous combustion disasters will be affected by many factors. In this paper, the differential scanning calorimetry experimental analysis was carried out,and the degree of metamorphism and the effect of heating rate on the spontaneous combustion characteristics of coal were obtained. The selected marker gas was analyzed by the gray correlation method. Finally, the gray correlation degree of the coal with different metamorphisms corresponding to each index gas was determined. The correlation degree of various index gases is sorted from large to small, and a gas with a large gray correlation degree is selected as an index gas.A relatively complete coal gas spontaneous combustion prediction index gas system has been established. The research results have certain theoretical guiding significance for mine fire prediction.Figure31;Table15;Reference 59...
