Environmental pollution is a hot issue in the current society. With the rapid development of China's economy, irrational production mode of enterprises and irrational lifestyle of individuals lead to more and more serious pollution problems in China. The types of diseases caused by them will increase and the probability of infecting diseases will increase.Environmental pollution will inevitably lead to medical and health expenditure of residents in China.Improving the health level of residents in China has attracted close attention from the government, society and academia. From the "people's health is an important symbol of national prosperity and national prosperity" put forward by the Nineteenth National Congress,we can see that the health problem of residents is a key and urgent problem to be solved in China. This paper uses Arcgis geographic information technology and Stata to study the impact of environmental pollution on residents' medical and health expenditure from a spatial perspective.Firstly, analysis is made on the current situation of environmental quality and residents' medical and health expenditure in China's provinces and cities, and geographic information technology is used to further reflect the spacial distribution characteristics of medical expenditure, environmental pollutants and residents' income,to test whether there is spatial distribution similarity between them, and then the coefficient of variation is used to analyze China's East-Central-West.Secondly,Geoda is used to test whether there is spatial correlation between residents medical and health expenditure in China from 2002 to 2016,analyze the trend of residents' health care expenditure Moran's I,and use the scatter plot of Moran index to further explain its correlation.Thirdly, the spatial measurement of environmental quality and residents' medical and health expenditure is constructed. The model chooses the random effect of spatial error model to study the impact of industrial waste gas, industrial waste water and traffic pollutants on residents' medical and health expenditure in China, and discusses different traffic pollution variables. Finally, according to the status analysis and empirical analysis results, then summarizes the whole paper and puts forward policy recommendations to reduce environmental pollution. The results show that:(1)There is a trend that the differences of residents' medical and health expenditure between the east, the middle and the west of China are becoming smaller, and the Moran's I scatter plot shows that the residents' health care expenditure in China is clustered;(2)There is similarity between industrial waste gas emissions and residents' health care expenditure in spatial distribution;(3)The increasing of environmental pollution has a positive impact on the growth of residents' health care expenditure, and industrial waste gas emissions have the most serious impact on residents' health care expenditure;(4)The increasing of income level, aging level and public health service level have a significant positive effect on residents' medical and health expenditure growth;(5)High education level has a significant positive effect on residents' medical and health expenditure in the region at the same time. Therefore, the government should strengthen the ability of environmental pollution control to reduce the harm caused by pollution such as waste gas, waste water and traffic, especially to control the problem of air pollution;enterprises should strengthen their industrial structure upgrading, reduce the discharge of industrial waste gas and wastewater, and jointly promote the realization of the dream of green water and blue sky,so as to ultimately reduce residents' medical and health expenditure.
