Since the seal stone has a long history and cultural status,this material has always loved arts and crafts collectors and enthusiasts.With the development of the economy and the improvement of people's living standards,the purchasers of such crafts have expanded to ordinary consumers,and the traditional manual processing methods are greatly challenged in terms of efficiency and economic efficiency.The processing of consumer-grade seal stone crafts has realized automatic machining of machines.However,because the seal stone is fragile and afraid of drying,the seal stone crafts are still hand-polished,which greatly limits the processing efficiency of the seal stone crafts and harms the health of workers.Therefore,to find a way to automate the polishing of seal stone crafts with the machine it has practical significance for improving efficiency and freeing up labor.In this paper,a gel tool will be developed based on sodium alginate.It is used to process the seal stone with the vibration polishing machine,and research on the polishing effect and degradability of the tool.By using alginate as matrix,the preparation method of the tool was studied according to its gelation principle.In the molding method of the gel tool,cutting,dripping,crushing,and secondary gelation are used.And experimented with air drying,ethanol gradient dehydration and freeze drying on the drying method.According to the experimental results,the current methods suitable for batch preparation are determined: dripping method and air drying.And proposed a more suitable batch preparation of the gel tool ratio,abrasive: sodium alginate: water = 1.5:3:95.5(including abrasive particles),sodium alginate: water = 3:97(with no abrasive particles),and build An amplifiable batch preparation protocol for the production of gel tools.The polishing effect of the tool was verified by using a gel tool in conjunction with a vibratory polisher to polish the seal stone.By using the 3D video microscope and 3D optical profilometer to detect the polishing effect,the polishing effect of the gel tool with different particle size abrasive grains was evaluated,and the current suitable polishing scheme was proposed: Polishing was carried out for 24 h with a gel tool containing W40 particle size alumina abrasive particles,followed by 32 h polishing using a non-abrasive gel ball tool.The changes of the tool under different environments were observed and analyzed by infrared spectrometer.The environmental friendliness of the gel tool was verified.Combined with the observation of the morphology and the results of the infrared spectrometer,the changes of the tool in different environments was analyzed,and the treatment suggestions for the tool waste were provided.
