The ordered functional structures formed by dynamic self-assembly are the basis for biological systems to realize various biological functions and maintain life.Intelligent materials with bionic characteristics,dynamic structures,which can response to external stimuli,are highly expected for the next generation of intelligent materials.In this study,we study the dynamic self-assembly in self-propelled colloidal systems.We find that self-propelled colloidal particles can form ordered dynamic structures under oscillating driving force.The characteristic sizes of the dynamic structure can be adjusted by tuning the amplitude and frequency of the applied oscillating driving force.Self-assembly of active particles propelled by oscillating driving force provides a powerful strategy for the preparation of dynamic ordered structures and offers a potential route for the development of smart materials.
