Aiming to solving the existing problems of thermal insulation pad,as well as combining with the concept of sustainable green development advocated by the home textile industry,a multi-fiber thermal insulation pad composed of viscose fiber,blended fine texes polyester fiber and bi-component polyester fiber was fabricated through needle punching nonwoven technology.Through the performance test and comparative analysis of the four different mixing ratios of the thermal insulation pad,it was determined that the optimize mixing ratio of the three fibers was 70%viscose fiber,20%fine texes polyester fiber and 10%bi-component polyester fiber.In order to study the comfort performance of the thermal insulation pad systematically,fluffy,compressibility,compression resilience,breathability,moisture permeability and warmth retention were characterized.Through comparing with silk pad,wool pad,Xinjiang long-staple cotton pad and 7D polyester pad in the market,it was found that the thermal insulation pad fabricated in this study was better in warmth retention and moisture permeability,especially in compression resilience.And the comprehensive results of other characteristics were also good.The performance of the multi-fiber mixed thermal insulation pad under the conditions of compression time,pressure and different temperature and humidity environments were also explored.Results showed that compared with silk pad,wool pad,Xinjiang long-staple cotton pad and 7D polyester pad,the thermal insulation pad fabricated in this study still maintained good elasticity and warmth retention with the extension of compression time.Under continuous pressure,the thermal insulation pad fabricated in this study showed excellent compression and recovery properties.It was also found that whether under the constant temperature and humidity environment or under the simulated winter environment,the 70 viscose/20 fine texes polyester/10 bi-component mixed thermal insulation pad has strong moisture absorption and dehumidification performance.This result further reflects the advantages of the prepared thermal insulation pad in the daily use.
