Promoting greenhouse gas reduction has become a global consensus in recent years.Current research shows that more than two-thirds of greenhouse gases come from carbon dioxide from energy consumption,where coal-fired thermal power generation is the largest source of carbon dioxide emissions.Carbon capture and storage(CCS),as the most potential emission reduction technology,has the outstanding advantage of achieving “near zero” emissions of carbon dioxide from fossil energy use.Therefore,CCS technology plays a dominating role in reducing carbon dioxide emissions from thermal power companies.CCS technology can only achieve its economic and environmental values if it is commercialized.Technological innovation itself has a very limited impact on the socio-economic system.Only when technological innovation is integrated into the universal production process and effectively diffused,its intrinsic benefits can be fully utilized.Hence,technology diffusion is somewhat more important than technological innovation.In order to achieve China’s carbon emission reduction targets and ensure the harmonious development between the economy and the environment,how to promote the efficacious diffusion of CCS technology in thermal power enterprises has become an important task for achieving low-carbon development.This paper firstly finds the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of CCS technology promotion in China,explaining the overall status and application prospects of CCS project development in China,and explores the external environment for the diffusion of CCS technology in thermal power enterprises.Secondly,the technology diffusion dynamic mechanism model is used to further study the source of tractive and driving forces to promote the diffusion of CCS technology in China’s thermal power enterprises,and to seek the internal dynamics of diffusion for CCS technology.Then the evolutionary game theory model between government and thermal power enterprises is constructed to find an evolutionary stability strategy(ESS),to promote the positive diffusion of CCS technology in thermal power enterprises.Finally,numerical simulation of the evolutionary game model with MATLAB software confirms the correctness of the above analysis of the evolutionary stability strategy,and analyzes the impact of various key factors on the evolutionary game system.The results show that although there are technical obstacles and economic constraints,the domestic energy consumption structure and huge storage potential have a positive effect on promoting the implementation of CCS diffusion in China and achieving low-carbon economic development.Strengthening the government supervision and the enthusiasm of thermal power companies to adopt CCS technology can achieve the best evolutionary stable strategy.Therefore,it is necessary to enhance the propaganda of low-carbon production mode,improve relevant legislative work and government regulatory efficiency,build a carbon tax mechanism,heighten the policy support for power enterprises,promote the innovation of CCS technology,and improve the construction of the national carbon trading market in China,for further promoting the diffusion of CCS technology to thermal power enterprises. |
