| China’s economy has greatly improved since the reform and opening up,especially after China’s accession to the WTO in 2001.The comprehensive formation of the pattern of opening up has made an unprecedented breakthrough in China’s foreign trade and driven China’s economic growth. In the past,China had the title of "world factory" mainly relying on its resources and population advantages, but with the consumption of resources and the development of the aging population,China’s unique advantage is gradually weakening. The government has begun to realize that this extensive management mode with high pollution and high consumption can not only not become a sustained driving force for economic growth, but also aggravate the environmental pollution problem. In this context, environmental protection has undoubtedly become one of the topics widely concerned by the society. The government and all members of the society have started to make efforts to reduce resource consumption and environmental pollution.Through compulsory means, the government requires enterprises to increase investment in environmental protection, use low-pollution equipment, develop environment-friendly products, etc. These measures are not only conducive to environmental protection, but also can encourage private enterprises to actively innovate,so as to improve the performance of private enterprises.Taking private enterprises as the research object, this paper analyzes the influence path and degree of environmental regulation on the performance of private enterprises from both theoretical and empirical aspects. It is divided into six chapters: chapter one: introduction, which mainly introduces the research background, research significance and purpose, research content and method and technology roadmap of this paper, and proposes the possible innovation points of this paper.Chapter two: literature review and theoretical basis. It mainly introduces the definition of relevant concepts of environmental regulation and private enterprises, and then reviews the research status of environmental regulation and corporate performance at home and abroad. Finally,it briefly introduces a series of theories related to this study, such as environmental strategic management theory.Chapter three: relevant analysis of environmental regulation and private enterprises, mainly introduces the development status of China’s environmental regulation and enterprise performance and the impact of different types of environmental regulation policies on the performance of private enterprises.Chapter four: theoretical hypothesis and model construction.Through theoretical analysis of the relationship between explanatory variables such as environmental regulation and enterprise size and performance of private enterprises, four corresponding hypotheses are proposed respectively. Then, the validity of the four hypotheses is empirically tested by building a linear regression model.Chapter five: empirical results and evaluation.Based on the theoretical assumptions in the previous chapter, combining mathematical statistical analysis and linear regression, the research results of this paper are obtained and then evaluated and analyzed.Chapter six: conclusion and prospect. The final conclusion of this paper is obtained through empirical test results, and corresponding suggestions are put forward for the government and enterprises, and then the possible improvements of this paper are summarized,so as to look forward to the future research direction. The research shows that, due to the time lag of environmental regulation policies, environmental regulation has no significant impact on the performance of private enterprises at present. However, there is a significant positive correlation between environmental regulation and the performance of private enterprises in the first, second and third phases of the lag.that is to say,the stronger the environmental regulation is,the better the performance of private enterprises will be.However, there is a significant positive correlation between enterprise scale and enterprise innovation input and the performance of private enterprises.Enterprise pollution control input has a significant negative impact on the performance of private enterprises, but the impact is significantly positive correlation in the first and second phases of the lag. |
