Over the past 50 years,the excessive exploitation and utilization of natural resources led to the scale and speed of biodiversity loss far beyond any historical period,and its change is irreversible.The ecosystem is a dynamic whole that combines the organic part with the natural environment,which is more effective than a single species to represent biodiversity and can more accurately reflect the state of biodiversity.The IUCN Red List of Ecosystem is a set of methods for assessing the threat of ecosystems.It uses a set of quantitative criteria and criteria to measure ecosystems at the regional,national,and global scales.The 2022 Winter Olympics will be held jointly by Beijing and Zhangjiakou,but the impact of hosting the Winter Olympics on the local ecosystem is still unknown.Therefore,this study selected the venue of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games as a research area,assessed the status of the threat of ecosystems,and discussed the impact of different driving mechanisms on ecosystems.It will help understand the status and trends of ecosystems in the study area,identify endangered ecosystems,and to effectively protect endangered ecosystems for the Olympic Winter Games.In this study,the data on two forest resource survey and land use were used to determine the area of ecosystem and geographical distribution,combined with field investigation and verification.Then the change range of each ecosystem during the two surveys was calculated.The In VEST tool was used to simulate the soil carbon storage as an indicator of the environmental degradation of the ecosystem in the area;while the net primary productivity(NPP)was used to indicate the disruption of biotic processes and interaction.The PRD(proportional rate of decline)was used to calculate the changes and the severity in the indicators of the ecosystems in the past 50 years.The results were compared with the thresholds in the red list of the IUCN ecosystem to obtain the threat levels of the ecosystems.The results show that the degradation of ecosystems in the Chongli district was more serious in the study area,and the impact of various risk factors was considered to be Critical Endangered(CR).And the geographical distribution of Betula platyphylla ecosystem was also led to Critical Endangered(CR),wetland ecosystems was affected by the degradation of biological processes and are assessed as endangered(EN).In different ecosystem types,wetland ecosystems are more threatened by human activities than forest and shrub ecosystems.Based on field research and research,this study explored the threat-driven mechanism of ecosystems and combined the results of IUCN red list of ecosystem assessment to determine the priorities and order of local ecological protection and restoration,then provide the theoretical basis for the protection of ecosystem.
