Fast-growing poplar is one of the major fast growth speed of our country,with growth speed,wide distribution and great volume.This 1s a good important measures to relieve the strain on timber supply and demand to reasonably use of fast-growing poplar.But fast-growing poplar,there are a lot of shortcomings,such as small density,low hardness,material is qualitative soft,poor mechanical properties.These defects have limited the extensive application of cypress wood.Unsaturated polyester resin impregnation of modified fast-growing poplar modifier,can improve the main physical and mechanical performance of cypress wood,and research in the process of vacuum impregnation modifier in cypress smuggled qualitative model,in order to have unsaturated polyester resin which provides the theoretical foundation for the further study of the modified material.In this paper,the effect of modified treatment on the weight gain rate,main physical and mechanical properties of poplar was studied with unsaturated polyester resin as the research material The penetration model of unsaturated polyester resin in poplar was established during vacuum impregnation.The resuhs showed that:(1)After modification treatment,the wet weight gain of poplar wood increased by 14%~48%,and the weight gain of poplar wood increased by 5%~32%.The results showed that weight gain would increase with the impregnating time and vacuum-pressure.(2)After modification treatment,the result showed that shrinkage rates,swelling rates and water absorption ratio of polar wood treated by unsaturated pofyester resin and its solution have increased.The treatment has significant influence on fast-growing poplar’s tangential permeability.The modulus of rupture andelasticity were increased by 37.65%~138.22%,45.34%~130.12%,respectively.(3)The theory model of parameters of the embedded parts is established,which is as follows:The impregnation amount of unsaturated polyester resm was simulated by the penetration model.The simulation results show that the maximum error between the theoretical value and the experimental value is 7.89%.Therefore,this model can simulate the penetration process of unsaturated polyester resin in the process of vacuum impregnation to a certain extent.
