The thesis takes the poplar saw log and the poplar veneer as the main raw material, choose MF resin as the adhesive, carries on the impregnating through the different treatment method to the poplar saw log and the veneer, after obtains the optimization plan carries on the heat-pressing manufacturing compressed wood and the treated veneer as the plywood's surface board. After comprehensive measure the saw log specimen ASE (antiswelling efficient), MOR, MOE and so on, detailed measure modified plywood wear resistance, durability and the gluing intensity, to affects the compression deformation fixed effect and plywood properties each factor carries on the analysis, provides the theory basis for the compressed poplar wood and the modified plywood actual production application. The thesis also attempts through a series of advanced instrument such as X-ray diffractometer etc., explains whose influencing factor effect to the physical and mechanical properties of compressed wood and plywood from microcosmic structure angle.Through the orthogonal experiment and the single factor analysis, when the vacuum degree is 0.1MPa carries on the forvacuum treatment to the poplar wood for 1 hour, impregnating 24 hours with MF resin, the result shows 65.3% WPG (weight percent gain), 93.3%ASE, 77.5%MEE, 87.8%PL, the parallel to the grain compressive strength reaches as high as 57.83MPa, enhances 56.8% compared to the source material.When carries on heat-pressing compressing the modified poplar, if heat-pressing temperature is 190 centigrade, press time is 20 minutes and compression ratio is percent 50, as a result, it indicates that the densification poplar restoration ratio is small, the physical mechanics property is best. On the comparison of the different parts of the poplar mechanical properties found that property of sapwood in central section is best, whose mechanics intensity higher than the worst material in the lower part of the heartwood 33% averagely. The cellulose relative crystallinity of compressed poplar wood is high measured by X-ray on the specimen, this is possibly the primary cause which the compressed poplar intensity enhances.Regarding the MF resin modified poplar plywood, it reached the maximum gluing intensity of the process is: veneer impregnates 24 hours with MF resin, hot pressure 1.6 MPa, heat pressing temperature 150℃, heat pressing time 160s/mm. Under these technological conditions, the modified plywood water resistance, resistance to aging and wear resistance can meet the national standard. After addition 5% Al(OH)3 and 1% CO(NH2)2 in MF resin, can reach fairly good Fire-retardant effect.
