Rheological Study On The Shape And Decoration Design Of Mongolian Knives

In the long years of development of northern nomadic peoples,knives play a decisive role in war and production and life.The Mongolian people borrowed and improved the form of knives of the nomadic ancestors,and constantly absorbed the production and decoration skills of other national knives to produce a set of practical and decorative Mongolian knives.The process of Mongolian knife evolution can be said to be the process of cultural and technological integration.Frequent wars have made intercultural exchanges more frequent.Mongolian culture has been continuously influenced by Western and Central Plains cultures.After a long period of development and evolution,Mongolian knife wearing has come into being,hereinafter referred to as Mongolian knife.Mongolian is a nation that worships and reveres nature and totems.Mongolian people who believe in "eternal heaven" believe that the Mongolian knife is a gift from heaven and a sacred relic symbolizing peace and good luck.Mongolian knife is the carrier of Mongolian culture,which condenses the wisdom and exquisite skills of Mongolian traditional craftsmen.It is the concentrated embodiment of Mongolian excellent knife-making and decorative skills.It records the trajectory of nomadic development and witnesses the change of grassland history.In order to facilitate daily life,herdsmen travel with knives,sickles,sea,chopsticks,cigarette bags and other daily necessities.Therefore,belt buckles are usually reserved for hanging Mongolian daily necessities,which are taken as a whole to carry around the waist.With the change of Mongolian people’s living style and the improvement of their living standard,the practical value of Mongolian knife has been continuously diluted and more decorative functions have been tended to play a role in highlighting the status of users.By studying the shape and decoration evolution of Mongolian knives and accessories,we can have a more detailed understanding of the cultural impact and aesthetic changes experienced by nomadic peoples in the changes of the times.It is of great significance to understand Mongolian folk customs and regional culture,and also provides a new perspective for us to understand the connotation of grassland culture.This paper focuses on the study of the evolution of Mongolian knife modelling and decorative art.By consulting historical documents and visiting museums to collect materials,it makes a preliminary induction and analysis of the historical background,national culture,customs,aesthetic characteristics,decorative patterns and design rules of Mongolian knife in various periods.On this basis,I put forward some of my own views,hoping to arouse more attention to Mongolian knife,trigger people’s thinking about how to better protect and inherit national handicraft,and provide some reference for the follow-up study of Mongolian knife scholars.
