Xi general secretary since 2005,puts forward the concept of "green water castle peak is the jinshan silver",to the 19 big meeting xi once again stressed the importance of construction of ecological civilization,also general secretary of the "green development" has become the main direction of enterprise to long-term development,while the green competitiveness is the important choice to enhance enterprise competitiveness,therefore,to explore the driven factors of enterprise green competitiveness and related theory,it is critical.In recent years,the academic study of green innovation and green competitiveness also in unceasingly thorough,and significant progress has been made,but the academic circles for managers relationship between cognitive environment and green competitiveness research is relatively lack,although some scholars research managers cognitive effect on the enterprise competitive advantage,but there is no in-depth study cognitive competitive advantage to the enterprise’s internal management mechanism.Respectively from the cognitive perspective,this study will be green innovation,corporate environmental responsibility as intermediary variables and regulation,build the theoretical model and research the mechanism of action of the antecedent and green competitiveness,further excavate the key factors influencing the enterprise green competitiveness,revealing the cognitive green competitiveness of the enterprise’s internal management environment influence,in order to promote the green competitiveness of Chinese manufacturing enterprises to provide theoretical support.Firstly,this paper defines the concepts of managers’ environmental cognition,green innovation,enterprises’ green competitiveness andenterprises’ environmental responsibility,discusses the relationship between various variables on the basis of relevant theories and proposes research hypotheses.Secondly,a questionnaire was designed by referring to the maturity scale of relevant variables and combining the purpose of this study,and the questionnaire was conducted for the senior managers of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.Finally,the hierarchical regression method was used to test the 252 valid questionnaires.The results show that: among the small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises,managers’ environmental cognition has a significant positive impact on enterprises’ green competitiveness;Second,green innovation plays an intermediary role between managers’ environmental cognition and enterprises’ green competitiveness.Third,corporate environmental responsibility plays a regulating role between managers’ environmental cognition and green innovation.Based on the results of empirical analysis,the following management Suggestions are put forward for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to improve their green competitiveness.Second,enhance enterprises’ green innovation ability;Third,improve the green competitiveness of enterprises;Fourth,strengthen corporate environmental responsibility.
