The Application Of Longquan Celadon Traditional Burning Technique In Contemporary Industrial Design

Longquan kiln in China began in the Five Dynasties and rose in the Song Dynasty.With the millennium experience,the Longquan celadon reached its peak.Longquan celadon is famous overseas for its thin tires,green thick glaze and elegant natural beauty.Longquan celadon achieved such brilliant achievements in addition to benefiting from the unique high-quality porcelain clay resources and a unique,exquisite firing skills.From the beginning to the heyday,Longquan celadon traditional firing technology constantly sum up experience,innovation,firing out the celadon which is on behalf of the peak level of Chinese porcelain.Longquan celadon traditional firing technology was officially included in the“human intangible cultural heritage representative list”in September 2009.The long history of Longquan celadon creates a unique,profound culture of celadon.In the field of art,the achievements of Longquan celadon is also no less than the porcelain produced by Jingdezhen.But the development status of Longquan Celadon is far less than Jingdezhen porcelain.Although the reason for this situation is related to the Chinese people's preference for white porcelain.But for the future of Longquan celadon,daily porcelain industry sluggish over time will make Longquan celadon fade out of daily life,eventually leading to inheritance.The topic of this thesis comes from the Youth Fund Project of Ministry of Education——"The Research and Practice of Using Industrial Design on Promoting Longquan Celadon Productive Protection".Holding the principle of development subject to protection,this paper takes the related theory of intangible cultural heritage as the support.First of all,through the investigation,research,analysis and other methods to understand the traditional Longquan celadon firing technology evolution and find out problems.Secondly,based on the theory of protection of intangible cultural heritage,this paper puts forward the productive protection theory and new production mode for Longquan celadon daily porcelain,which are respectively elaborated in three aspects:prerequisite—protecting the essence of traditional crafts;content--Longquan celadon product design innovation and way--the open production mode with the lead of industrial designers.Then the paper analyzes the characteristics and manifestations of Longquan celadon from Longquan celadon porcelain.After that the paper sums up the application form of Longquan celadon traditional burning technology in contemporary industrial design on the basis of integrating modern design concept.Then relying on the open production model,design and processing a group of modern Longquan celadon products.The products should be designed around the modern family life,highlighting the advantages of integration of industrial design,and ultimately verify the feasibility of open production mode.In addition,this article also points out the existing marketing problems of Longquan celadon porcelain from the point of view of industrial design,and puts forward some reasonable suggestions and suggestions.
