Meta-analysis Of Spillover Between Pro-environmental Behavior:A Study Of Experimental Literature

With the government’s increasing emphasis on environmental issues,studying the spillover effects of individual pro-environmental behaviors is also profoundly practical for strengthening citizens’ pro-environmental behaviors,promoting various pro-environmental behaviors,and improving the net effect of policies.However,the conclusions in the existing literature are highly fragmented,and different studies have different results for the same kind of behavioral spillover.This paper uses meta-analysis as a method to search and collect experimental literature on pro-environmental behavior spillover effects at home and abroad,and then systematically analyze the total,moderating and mediating effects of pro-environmental behavior spillovers.This paper attempts to analyze the various factors affecting the spillover effect of pro-environmental behavior while discussing the current status of pro-environmental behavior spillover effects,and analyze the effectiveness of various internal mechanisms and their intermediate paths.In order to realize the research intention,this paper uses the multi-strategy search and unified standard screening to form the database of the literature,and on this basis,analyzes the total effect of pro-environmental behavior spillover,the moderating effect of intervention mode,the moderating effect of behavior type,the moderating effect of the intervention mode with behavior type,other types of the moderating effect,and the various inherent mechanisms of pro-environmental behavior spillovers and the effectiveness of mediator variables.The main results include,but are not limited to,the following:the whole pro-environmental behavior spillover effects generally show positive spillovers;social influence has the best overall effect in the different type of interventions,and green shopping behavior has the best radiation effects in different type of initial behaviors;the existing experimental literature about pro-environmental behavior spillovers on the effect of the study of the intermediary mechanism and psychological variables has the Matthew effect.Therefore,in future research,attention should be paid to the effects of different moderators and the testing of each intrinsic mechanism.At the same time,in the practice of pro-environmental policy,it is necessary not only to clarify policy goals and policy objectives in the process of policy formulation,but also to pay attention to the rational use of relevant supporting measures in the process of policy implementation,and to try to create a good policy environment for policy implementation.
