The power generation industry as the primary link of the national power industry has also caused increasingly serious ecological and environmental problems.To this end,local governments have adopted a series of environmental regulatory measures in recent years in order to achieve the goal of protecting the natural environment.But what impact will the implementation of government environmental regulation policies have on the development of the power generation industry?Will hinder the development of the power industry or promote the development of the power industry?In view of this,this paper takes China's power generation industry as the research object,and starts the research on the impact of China's current environmental regulation on the industrial performance of the power generation industry,aiming to seek the coordinated development of China's power industry environmental regulation and industrial performance improvement.The paper focuses on the impact of the environmental regulation of the power industry in China on industrial performance.Through the collection of data on environmental regulation,technological innovation,and industrial performance in the power generation industry in China,a model for the impact of environmental regulation on the industrial performance of the power generation industry is established,and environmental regulations are analyzed for the industry.Barriers to entry,technological innovation,and the impact of industrial performance provide a better basis for coordinating the relationship between environmental regulation and industrial performance in China's power generation industry.The paper introduced the background significance and related research of environmental regulation in China's power generation industry,and elaborated relevant concepts and theoretical foundations of environmental regulation,and analyzed the impact mechanism of environmental regulation on industrial performance,mainly through the direct path of regulatory cost increase and The indirect path of barriers to entry and technological innovation has an impact on industry performance.Then,the paper analyzes the status quo between China's power generation industry,power industry environmental regulations,and environmental regulation and power generation industries.Subsequently,this paper collects panel data of China's power generation industry from 2006 to 2015 and conducts empirical analysis:Environmental regulation has no significant impact on the barriers to entry in the power industry,but there is a significant positive role in promoting technological innovation and industrial performance.Environmental regulation can promote the improvement of the industry performance of the power industry,and this promotion is mainly conducted through the compensation effect of technological innovation.Finally,according to the empirical results and problems,the paper proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the government level and the enterprise level.It is suggested that the government increase investment in technological innovation,ensure the implementation of policies and strengthen environmental regulation,and recommend that companies establish correct environmental regulations.Awareness,improved technological innovation capabilities,and the establishment of a diversified new energy power structure.
