Objective:To understand the content of aluminum in atmospheric fine particles and soil in Urumqi,to analyze the pollution of aluminum in fine particles, and to estimate the possible harm to human health caused by aluminum in fine particles in Urumqi. Methods:A medium flow atmospheric sampler was used to collect fine particulate matter in the air.The Al content of fine particulate matter and soil samples were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer?ICP-MS?.The present situation of aluminum pollution in Urumqi city was evaluated by statistical description,Spearman correlation analysis and geoaccumulation index method, and the health risk index was used to evaluate the harm of aluminum to human health. Results:The mass concentrations of aluminum in the fine particulate matter of Urumqi in 2017-2018 was 162.60?94.17276.81?ng/m3.The mass concentration of aluminum?P=0.003?in atmospheric fine particles measured in Urumqi in2017 and 2018 was statistically significant;the test of the aluminum concentration in the fine particles showed that there were significant differences between industrial and residential areas?P=0.001?.The value of the ground accumulation index of aluminum in fine particles in residential areas and industrial areas is between 3 and 5.The correlation coefficient between the mass concentration of aluminum and humidity is-0.357.The non-carcinogenic risk factor?HQ?of aluminum in fine particulate matter ranges from1.16×10-44 to 3.73×10-4.The contents of Al,Pb and Cd in the soil of the two monitoring areas were 66.58081.321g/kg,13.62016.234 mg/kg,0.0750.190 mg/kg respectively. The mass fractions of soil aluminum measured in the industrial zone of Urumqi was significantly different from that in surrounding counties in 2017 and 2018?P<0.001?.There was a statistically significant difference in the fractions of aluminum?P=0.001?,lead?P<0.001?,and cadmium?P<0.001?between the industrial areas of Urumqi and surrounding counties from 2017 to 2018.Conclusions:The mass concentration of aluminum in fine particulate matter in Urumqi industrial zone was different from that in industrial zone in 2017 and 2018,and the aluminum concentration in fine particulate matter in industrial zone was higher than that in residential area. There was a negative correlation between the mass concentration of aluminum and the daily average humidity.Aluminum pollution in fine particulate matter in the two monitoring areas was serious, and its non-carcinogenic risk factor was lower than the EPA limit of 1,which was at an acceptable level. The mass fraction of aluminum, lead and cadmium in the soil of Urumqi industrial area is higher than that of the neighboring districts and counties, and the mass fraction of aluminum in the soil is increasing.
