"Plaque",also known "card decoration",is one of the decorations of northern nomadic Hun.Huns' decorative plaque is a kind of Eurasian-steppe-style artifact.It firstly appeared in the early nomadic era and flourished on the weapons and horse of Hun nobles.The plaque symbolizes the status of the nomadic people,and presents the delicate feelings of the Huns with extensive character.With continuous cultural fusion of Han and Hun,as well as the evolution of the materials,the plaque has gradually become a fusion body of Han culture and nomadic culture.From the visual perspective,the form of the plaque from lying and standing to the food hunting reflects people's pursuit of art and the changing aesthetic concept at that time.By researching the innovative design of Huns formative art in Hu Xiaguo period,this paper analyzes the shape,content,materials and crafts of animals and plants in this period.And this paper uses the artistic elements,such as horse shape,tiger shape and animals' heads of Huns plaques,to carry on the in-depth analysis and make conclusion.By combining the plaque with modern design method,this paper will apply the galvanized animal and plant form to contemporary product design,so as to reflect the formative art of Hu Xiu period.
