With the economic growth slowing down,structural adjustment and other changes in the macroeconomic situation,the clothing industry has entered a period of adjustment after experiencing a period of rapid expansion.To explore the industry,many problems hinder the sustainable and rapid development of the clothing industry.First of all,the clothing industry is still facing the upgrading of market competition in recent years.The rise of a large number of domestic high-quality local brands and the high-speed and comprehensive layout of foreign wellknown brands in the Chinese market have made Chinese apparel enterprises face the dual pressure of domestic and foreign worries.Secondly,based on the dual demands of the internal development of the garment industry and the improvement of the supply-side structure,the inventory problem needs to be solved urgently.Finally,the consumer market is being remold.The new consumer groups represented by the middle class and millennials are no longer satisfied with the requirements of clothing quality and comfort.They are characterized by youth,fashion and personality,and their demands are diversified and mature.How to effectively meet consumer demand has become another difficult problem for enterprises to think about.Apparel product development is the key to the core competitiveness of apparel enterprises.An advanced and perfect product development process is a magic weapon for enterprises to enhance brand value and defeat the enemy.Facing the above realistic pressure,clothing enterprises must focus on the core competitiveness and conduct scientific optimization research on the development process of clothing products.Firstly,relevant literatures such as garment product development,sales data mining and process optimization were reviewed and sorted out,and the garment product development process and its contents based on the theoretical framework were constructed.Secondly,in-depth interviews were conducted to investigate the application status and existing problems of the process by senior product developers in the clothing industry.Combined with my practical experience in D company,I designed the garment product development process that conforms to most commercial brands.Thirdly,based on the in-depth interview questions,the research and analysis show that the current development process of clothing products has problems such as lack of pertinence in market research,lack of scientific guidance in style design,unclear style structure and lack of price strategy.Through practical experience summary and repeated iterative optimization,the following optimization schemes are proposed for each link of the development process of clothing products from the perspective of data mining: Second,commodity planning to join the nature of the style set;Third,design integration of popular elements analysis;Fourth,the construction of commodity planning process based on price planning work plan.Finally,based on long-term practice research,company D D brand as a case for test and actual application case,by using four quadrant analysis,product life cycle curve,and ABC classification,in the summer of 2018 D brand sales data from the overall sales data,sales data and a single phone sales category three dimensions were analyzed,and the iterative optimization used in the summer of 2019,product development,formed a complete product development project.
