From the perspective of cultural linguistics,this paper compares the classification of Chinese and Thai sweets in Chinese and Thai sweets,and compares the naming rationale of the names of sweets in the two countries and the similarities and differences of cultural connotations.In this paper,the names of Chinese sweets and Thai sweets were used as research objects.Through literature search,online survey and field investigation,248 sweet names were collected,including 123 Chinese sweets and 125 Thai sweets.The article uses these names as the basic corpus,classifies them according to the structural characteristics of the sweet names themselves,analyzes the rhetorical devices used,and expounds the cultural connotations they reflect.The article is divided into five parts:The first part: Introduction.Explain the rationale,value and significance of the topic,and explain the scope of the topic and the source of the corpus.The second part: Chinese and Thai sweet food classification.According to the classification of Chinese and Thai sweet foods,the differences between the two countries in the classification of sweets were explained.The third part: the comparison of the linguistic features of Chinese and Thai dessert names.Compare their naming rationales,structural features and rhetorical features used.The fourth part: the cultural connotation analysis of the names of Chinese and Thai sweets.Analyze the cultural and Chinese meanings reflected in the names of sweets in China and Thailand,and explain the reasons for similarities and differences.The fifth prat: Conclusion.Summarize the full text and look forward to the future research direction.
