The Textual Research And Cultural Connotation Of Fenshui In Ming And Qing Dynasties

Fenshui is a kind of silk kerchief,suspending with a bunch of needle,pouch,polishing stone,knife,toothpick and so on.It’s one of waist ornaments from North nomads in Qin Dynasty.Since North Wei Dynasty,it was not only used in minority,but also in the Han nationality.Fenshui is from the Ming and Qing Dynasties combining Han and minority traditional costume culture,and has practicability and aesthetic decoration,which has rich cultural connotation worthy of being studied.However,few mordern people know definition of Fenshui or the domestic experts.Scholars also do less research on it so Fenshui doesn’t form a complete set of research system.With the westernization of modern clothes,Fenshui has been forgotten.So the inheritance and protection work are particularly urgent.The thesis focuses on the Fenshui,combeds the original history,define Fuishui formly,and constructs the research system of Fenshui by collecting objects from museums,archaeological reports,clothing ornaments,classical etiquette clothing books,folklore paintings,novels,papers.I analyzed the evolution of its form,functions,colors,patterns,fabrics and accessories materials in the Ming and Qing.The thesis described the popular trend and analyzed various functional values,cultural connotations,and influence factors which included social class,economic,political etiquette,culture collision.The author extracts the design of elements from Fenshui and designs the innovation products with the modern fashion.The main research conclusion system are as follows:Fenshui has exquisite form and craftsmanship.It not only has the basic functions like wiping,ear picking,tooth picking,incense fumigation,sewing and so on,but also has symbolic status grade.The functions are various:men mostly use plain silk kerchiefs and women use colorful ones.The decoration structure is exquisite and the material is obvious different,which reflects the needs of different dress levels and the fashion trend of Fenshui in the Ming and Qing dynasties.It analyzed and concluded the changing reason of evolution from practical function to luxuriously decorated,which based on the research of Design elements of Fenshui in the Ming and Qing dynasties,.Through analyzing of the connotation of folk and nationalist culture,it summarizes cultural and emotional implications,which explains folk belief,aesthetic value and emotional value.It analyzed the reasons of fashion trend of Fenshui in Ming and Qing dynasties.It was greatly affected by the social environment.The economy is the dominant factor,and Jiangsu Province is the representative of the economic prosperity which leads people to advocate the luxury.Social class provided creative space for design clothing ornaments.The different clothing etiquette system were led by the scholar class of Ming Dynasty and the officials of the imperial family of Qing Dynasty respectively.The collision and fusion of Manchu and Han cultures and the introduction of western ideology and culture to produce new design aesthetics promoted the consumption and development of a series of clothing ornaments.It synthesized the artistic features and cultural connotation,and analyzed the two inheritance modes of modern Fenshui form restoration and innovative application.The domestic innovation production market is still relatively backward and has a huge market space.Using three ways of extracting design symbols,it designs innovation products of traditional and modern culture and spreads clothing culture of Fenshui.
