Beneficiation industry plays an important role in the national economy.The overall collection of production information is the basis of production and management optimization of beneficiation production.The industrial Internet of Things(IoT)technology in the processing industry for intelligent manufacturing helps to enhance the technology level of achieving intelligent monitoring,intelligent control,intelligent decision-making,and intelligent maintenance.Thus the study of introducing industrial IoT technology into mineral processing industry has important significance and innovation value.The conplexity of IoT system in the beneficiation process includes varieties of networks,protocols,sensors and control systems,and so on.This thesis,which is supported by the National 863 Program,i.e.Technology Research and Application Demonstration of IoT-Based MES in Beneficiation Process(2015AA043802),has designed and developed the IoT experimental platform in the beneficiation process.Considering the specific needs of beneficiation process,topic about the framework of the testing platform has been discussed.The system design and development of the experimental platform has been completed,which provides a practical and effective experimental platform for research,test and verification of the application and research of industrial IoT technology in beneficiation process.The main research work of this paper is as follows:1.The research and development status of the technology of the industrial IoT and the monitoring technology in beneficiation process has been reviewed,and the requirement of industrial IoT technology in beneficiation process for operation optimizing and management optimizing has been discussed.Then the detailed requirement analysis of this IoT experimental platform in the beneficiation process has been completed.2.The system design of the IoT experimental platform in the beneficiation process has been accomplished.The general architecture includes the wireless data-collection platform,the embedded intelligent data-collection platform,the wireless control system platform,the fieldbus platform and platform of virtual beneficiation process.The architecture design and functional design of above platforms has been finished,with which the experimental study of intelligent data acquisition,data processing,signal transmission,and protocol conversion may be carried out,and also,the data service for MES experiment can be provide.3.The IoT experimental platform in beneficiation process has been developed,with the integration of different wireless transmission equipment,embedded equipment,control systems,and fieldbus equipment,from a variety of manufacturers.The wireless nodes and wireless gateways equipment from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications,Zhongke Microcyber,and Zhongke Allwin have been selected to build the wireless data-acquisition platform.The embedded CPU board of X86 architecture is employed to build the embedded intelligent data-acquisition platform.The wireless control system platform has been developed using SIEMENS S7-200 PLC.Various fieldbus instruments and equipment of Profibus-DP,Profibus-PA,FF and Modbus have been integrated in the fieldbus platform.Except for the hardware systems of such platforms,software for above platforms are also developed.4.Experiments in the IoT experimental platform in beneficiation process has been carried out.For both the virtual beneficiation process and the physical object,lots of IoT experiments can be made using this platform.Thus the effectiveness of this experimental platform has been shown.
