The spindle bars are the key components of the spinning spindles,which affect the accuracy and reliability of the spindle,and the improvement of their production process requires a large amount of process data as a basis.The data acquisition and analysis system of spinning spindle bars for their production process was developed in view of the large demand for processing data of spindle bars.The system has the ability to record the data of the inspection process and to find the error sources in the production process,which can help to eliminate or compensate the related error and improve spindle machining accuracy and production efficiency through improvement of the production process of the spindles.In this thesis,the shortcomings of the traditional inspection methods of the spindle production process were analyzed,and the design target of the data acquisition and analysis system of spinning spindle bars was put forward,which has the feature with low cost,synchronous measurement,automatic acquisition and wireless transmission.Based on the analysis the characteristics of many sensors and software development environment,the scheme of the system composition was designed and selected,and the measurement and control software was programmed in Visual Basic6.0environment.The wireless data acquisition and analysis system of spinning bar production process was built,which consists of digital dial gauges,data acquisition controlled by MCU,RS232 based wireless serial communication module and control software.The application tests of the system were done in the production workshop of the spindle bar.The radial runout values of four key positions of 1200 spindle bars,which are at the top,the pulley,the bearing and the bottom,were measured in the processes of coarse grinding,coarse straightening,semi-fine grinding,semi-fine straightening,fine grinding,fine straightening,respectively,and the statistical analysis of their measurement results was carried out by using the developed program.40 spindle bars after rough grinding,fine grinding,semi-fine grinding process were taken as samples,the measurement repeatability of the system was checked,and thechecked results were compared with the results measured by using the traditional method.The results showed that the developed system has the features of high repeatability,accuracy,reliability and significantly enhancement in the inspection speed.The developed data acquisition system of spinning spindlebar production process can be applied tothe analysis of the production processes of spindle bars.
