The research subject of this paper is from the project of “The Experimental Research of Non-abrasive Cryogenic Polishing on Camshaft” of Jilin Province Education Department,by theoretical analysis,modal analysis and making experiment,systematically studied the method and mechanism of non-abrasive cryogenic polishing on camshaft,the main research work is as follows:Based on the development status of camshaft grinding technology and non-abrasive cryogenic polishing,the feasibility of non-abrasive cryogenic polishing on camshaft is analyzed in the paper,researched and developed the experimental device,introduced the preparation process of polishing ice wheel in detail,discussed the possible resonance problem of the experimental device in the polishing process,compared with the natural frequency of modal analysis obtained by using Workbench and the vibration frequency of the experimental device measured under different experimental conditions.Systematically studied the effect of polishing time,ice wheel speed and polishing pressure on the surface roughness of camshaft.comparative analysis of a large number of experimental data,got the best polishing process parameters.In the micro domain,the mechanism of surface micro-removal in non-abrasive cryogenic polishing on camshaft is discussed from the perspective of interface energy and metal structure.verified the feasibility of the proposed camshaft machining method,provided a new experimental method for the non-abrasive cryogenic polishing on camshaft,which has certain theoretical significance and application values.
