With the increasing awareness of environmental protection and the shortage of resources,the recycle of waste has become an important part of industry and agriculture.Like most of waste,the viscous wastes have great negative impact to the environment,especially to the water resources.The first step of disposal in the industry for high viscous waste recycle is drying,but the systematic and specific research for high viscous waste drying hasn’t been set up currently in domestic.The Air Swept Tubular Dryer(AST)is a set of the efficient dryerwith scattering,agitating anddrying.Involved in this paper can solve the problem that high viscous material’s easily agglomeration and insufficient water drying,So the AST has made up the shortage of industrial dryers for viscous material drying.The paper discussthe viscous material drying status,introduces the working principle and basic structure of the Air Swept Tubular Dryer,Using mathematical method get the retention time of material inside the cylinder The model of water contentbetween the parameters are obtained through the method of mathematical modeling.With the method of controlling variable,using Matlab to model the drying process and compare the change of water content under different parameters,The conclusion as follows: the temperature of the medium has a strong influence to the drying speed in the constant speed drying stage of the drying process,the other word,affect heat transfer more;Whilethe effect of material particle size on the falling drying stage is relatively obvious,namelymaterial particle size has a larger influence on mass transfer process.On the basis of computational fluid dynamics(CFD),with the platform of Fluent software,the papersimulate the drying process of AST,analyzed the velocity field and temperature field,reveal the heat transfer process between the materials and media.Drying process is essentially a water phase changing process from liquid to vapor,Through the simulation of drying process under different working conditions,use phase interaction and water vapor volume fraction as reference quantity,analysis and compare the material drying process in different medium velocity and mixing blade installation angle,so thebestmediumvelocityand installation anglehave been determinedunderthe correspondingworkingconditions.Theanalysisresultguidethe optimization of parameters.
