Chitosan, konjac glucomannan, pectin, gelatin are belong to the biodegradable materials[1].Chitosan possess excellent biocompatibility, blood compatibility,it has very good progress in the research and development of pharmaceutical engineering application in the medical field[2].Because of the excellent swelling properties of the konjac glucomannan,it has become a potential material for wound dressing[3].Konjac glucomannan quaternary ammonium salt as the derivative of the konjac glucomannan not only keep the good swelling property of the konjac glucomannan, but also has the good antibacterial property[4].The hydrogel is a kind of gel with water as the dispersion medium,it's a polymer network system and is now regarded as a kind of promising polymer materials.Hydrogels with excellent water absorption, moisture retention, coagulation and antimicrobial properties which making it a good wound dressing and are applied to the field of medical wound healing[5-6].Compared to chemical crosslinking and physical crosslinking, the radiation method has the following advantages[7]:?1?the crosslinking agent is needn't in the reaction process,so the product has high purity and the subsequent purification process is omitted;?2?the temperature of the radiation reaction process is generally normal temperature and there is no need to heat up or cool down;?3?The experiment is easy to operate without follow-up operation. In this study, chitosan?CTS?and Pectin combined with polyvinyl alcohol?PVA?were mixed to form CTS/Pectin/PVA hydrogels by employing?-irridiation as free radical initiator.it shows that the hydrogels have good swelling property, water evaporation rate and blood coagulation.Konjac glucomannan?KGM?and Konjac glucomannan quaternary ammonium salt?QKGM?have very good water absorption capacity.Gelatin?Gel?has the good clotting activity and biological compatibility. In this study,KGM/Gel and QKGM/Gel combined with polyvinyl alcohol?PVA?were mixed to form KGM/Gel/PVA hydrogels and QKGM/Gel/PVA hydrogels by employing ?-irridiation as free radical initiator. The QKGM/Gel/PVA hydrogels have some antimicrobial properties. The main researches are as followed:1.Chitosan?CTS?/Pectin/polyvinyl alcohol?PVA?hydrogels were prepared by radiation crosslinking. The structure of the hydrogels was characterized by the use of FT-IR and SEM.The Gel content, swelling ability, water evaporation rate and blood coagulation of the hydrogels were also evaluated. The results revealed that CTS,Pectin and PVA were perfectly compatible and interacted via the hydrogen bond.SEM showed that the hydrogel had a good three-dimensional network structure and the pores distributed uniformly in the sections of the materials.2.Konjac glucomannan?KGM?/Gelatin?Gel?/Polyvinyl alcohol?PVA?hydrogels were prepared by radiation crosslinking. The structure of the hydrogels was characterized by the use of FT-IR and SEM.The Gel content, swelling ability, water evaporation rate and blood coagulation of the hydrogels were also evaluated. The results revealed that KGM,Gel and PVA were perfectly compatible and interacted via the hydrogen bond.SEM showed that the hydrogel had a good three-dimensional network structure and the pores distributed uniformly in the sections of the materials.3.Konjac glucomannan quaternary ammonium salt?QKGM?/Gelatin?Gel?/Polyvinyl alcohol?PVA?hydrogels were prepared by radiation crosslinking. The structure of the hydrogels was characterized by the use of FT-IRand SEM.The Gel content, swelling ability, water evaporation rate and blood coagulation of the hydrogels were also evaluated. The results revealed that QKGM,Gel and PVA were perfectly compatible and interacted via the hydrogen bond.SEM showed that the hydrogel had a good three-dimensional network structure and the pores distributed uniformly in the sections of the materials. In vitro antibacterial activity assessment QKGM/Gel/PVA hydrogel showed inhibitory effect against Escherichia coli.
