| Time quota estimation is an important part of intelligent manufacturing and information-based manufacturing,also an important part of CAPP,and an important basis for cost assessment and project accounting.Most of the traditional methods of time quota estimation are based on processing experience or stored data.This not only requires high requirements for the staff,but also has poor flexibility and inaccurate estimation of the time,which in turn affects the progress of the company.Therefore,the development of a more intelligent time estimation system is of great significance to the formulation of corporate production plans and the rational allocation of corporate resources.In mould industry,insert-type parts have complex shapes,various styles,and frequent replacement features.As an important part of the overall structure of the mould,CNC machining is often used.The traditional method of time quota estimation can’t accurately predict the processing time.Therefore,it is very important to correctly estimate the processing time for insert-type parts.In this paper,by studying a large number of examples of mould inserts and their process characteristics,after analyzing and comparing several different methods of time quota estimation,a new time quota estimation method for insert-type parts is proposed and a time quota estimation system is developed for insert-type parts on Unigraphics NX.The system includes three parts: a feature recognition part,a database part,and a time estimation part.The feature recognition part uses rule-based feature recognition technology to classify the surface types of the insert-type parts into three categories: plane class,hole face class,and 3D profile class,and acquires the corresponding geometric parameters;the database part includes a craft library and a formula library.The craft library matches the corresponding process parameters after receiving the plane class and hole face parameters passed in the feature recognition part,and passes the geometric parameters and craft parameters together into the formula library,and the mathematical model in the formula library is used for time quota estimation;the time estimation part uses the template to simulate the toolpath of the 3D profile class,uses the toolpath to estimate the time,outputs the estimated results,and summarizes and analyzes the time estimation results from the database part,adding weights by using linear regression.The use of this system can effectively solve the time-consuming and labor-consuming problem of estimating the insert-type parts’ time in mould industry,which greatly improves the accuracy of time quota estimation. |
