We are in the era of big data explosion of information.In the industrial production process,there will be a huge number and variety of engineering data,which will increase the difficulty and depth of information extraction.The process of extracting information will be lengthy and cumbersome.The information map recodes the data information in a graphical way,which helps the data information to be accurately and effectively spread.The purpose of this paper is to propose an information diagram design flow that is applicable to engineering data through theoretical research and project practice(data generated in milling machine production).The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)Theoretical research.In the exploration of related theories and methods of information graphics design,according to the process of information extraction and creation by people,an in-depth analysis was made from the three perspectives of visual cognition,graphical semantics and visualization methods.When analyzing related theories of engineering data,we mainly start with the visualization of engineering data and the method of segmenting time series of processing engineering data to understand the characteristics of engineering data.(2)Method construction.Firstly,the characteristics of engineering data are analyzed,and the design principles of engineering data information map are drawn according to its characteristics.According to the analysis in theoretical research,a design method for engineering data information map is proposed.This method mainly uses the segmented time series method based on important points as the method of engineering data segmentation,and then designs the information graphs of each time segment obtained by the segmentation method.(3)Project practice.The proposed process and method were applied to the actual project,and a set of information maps for milling machine production data was designed.The information map scheme was tested for usability with the combination of SUS questionnaire and T test,and the practical results were verified.The test results show that the recoded information map in the practical project is more significant than the original information map,that is,it has availability.In this paper,the graphical method of information map is introduced into the expression of engineering data,and an information diagram design flow suitable for engineering data is proposed,aiming to provide the maximum amount of data information with as little interface space as possible,using a clear The relationship between data is interpreted in the form of images and images to help improve the inadequacies of engineering data.
