With the continuous warming of the global climate, carbon emissions have become the core proposition that is of concern to the political and theoretical circles, and it is also a topic of concern for the entire human society. In recent years,China has actively responded to the call for global energy-saving and emission-reduction,pursued low-carbon cleanliness, and actively sought a green development path. With the implementation of the strategy for the development of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River has become an important one for the national economy to take off. There are many industrial cities within the urban agglomeration, and reducing carbon emissions has become an important problem within the urban agglomerations. The spatial pattern and effects of carbon emission intensity for construction land use in urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River will be studied.First, this paper will use the IPCC International Energy Carbon Accounting Framework to calculate the total carbon emissions of the urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and calculate the carbon emission intensity of construction land in each city.Secondly, using Arcgis10 software, spatial autocorrelation model, and spatial Dubin model, the global spatial autocorrelation index, local autocorrelation index, and spatial Dubin results were obtained. The spatial pattern and spatial pattern of carbon emission intensity for urban construction land in urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River were calculated. The effects are studied. Finally, based on the theory of lowcarbon economy, sustainable development theory and decoupling theory,it provides guiding suggestions for low-carbon development in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. The final conclusions are as follows: 1 Among the urban clusters in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the carbon emissions led by Wuhan urban agglomerations rank first in the urban agglomeration, and the carbon emission intensity remains high, followed by the Poyang Lake City Group,Jianghuai City Group, and Central Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city group.2 The carbon emission intensity of urban construction land for urbanagglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River decreases gradually from north to south on both sides of the Wuhan urban agglomeration. The temporal spatial pattern changes significantly.3 In terms of spatial effect, there is a positive spatial autocorrelation relationship between the carbon emission intensity of construction land in each city group of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and it is spatially agglomerative, with spatial heterogeneity and significant spatial spillover effects.
