This-thesis includes two major parts.In part one,we aimed at exploring the bonding mode of silver cluster protected by biological ligands,two Ag14(R,S-LA)6(PPh3)8 clusters protected by racemic sulphureous biomolecular R,S-LA and PPh3 were successfully obtained.These crystal structures can be described as Ag6@Ag8 "core-shell" model,the kernel Ag6 constitute an octahedron,shell Ag8 form parallel hexahedron.The synthesis and structural analysis of the Ag14 clusters protected by the sulphureous bioligands provide a theoretical basis for the subsequent study on the mechanism of the Ag clusters in biological ligand protected Ag cluster.Two chiral Ag14 clusters protected by chiral R-LA and PPh3,chiral Ag]4(R-LA)6(PPh3)8 clusters have two CD signal,chirality comes from 5 degree distortion in the structure which root in the using of R-LA.This kind of chiral Ag clusters structures are very rare.In part two,with the purpose of filling the blank in the research of copper hydride clusters,four standalone tetrahedral copper hydride clusters,[Cu4(?4-H)(?2-X)2(PPh2Py)4]+(X= Cl,Br)containing a tetrahedral[(?4-H)Cu4]unit have been synthesized and structurally characterized.These copper hydride clusters can be divided into two kinds of coordination mode:[Cu4HCl2L4]+ and[Cu4HBr2L4]+,[Cu4HBr2L4]+ compared to[Cu4HCl2L4]+,halogen not only flips the ligands,but also causes contraction of the tetrahedron Cu4.Strong photoluminescence was observed in solution and in the solid state upon near-UV irradiation,the emission wavelength is 20 nm red shifted in solution compared with the solid state.The fluorescence quantum yield is about 2%,fluorescence lifetime is about 90 ns,showing its potential application in tag,imaging and testing.PPh2Py was also used to synthesize a chiral copper hydride cluster containing tetrahedron[(?4-H)Clu4]structural unit,chirality comes from the chiral arrangement of achiral PPh2Py ligands,Cu4Br3HL3 was the first case of chiral copper hydride cluster.
