Objective : To investigate the clinical feature and provide the cosmetic epidemiological data of the adverse reactions of cosmetics in an urban dermatological clinic.Methods:A retrospective clinical analysis were carried out on total 712 outpatients suspected to be with cosmetics adverse reactions from January 2014-December 2016.Suspicious cosmetics patch test were performed in some patients.Results:Age-sex composition: 97.33% of the patients were female,and 71.35%were young or middle-aged(21-40 years).Education level:the higher education accounting for 59.69%,secondary education followed by 38.48%.Occupational distribution: the ordinary staff account for the highest proportion,which is 28.51%,followed by unemployed,which is 18.68%.Individual allergic history:17.28% of the patients had adverse reactions induced by cosmetics once.Main clinical manifestation:92.70% were contact dermatitis induced by cosmetics,5.76% were acne induced by cosmetics,0.42% were skin discoloration induced by cosmetics,0.42% were hair damage induced by cosmetics,0.14% were nail damage induced by cosmetics and0.56% were other types of adverse reactions induced by cosmetics.Cosmetic products:1682 cosmetic products were involved,ordinary skin care products predominated in these products.Path tests:patch tests were completed on 578 cases,and 245 of which(42.39%)show positive,and 333 were negative(about 65.65%).Conclusions:The young and middle-aged females with higher and secondary education are the most susceptible people to cosmetic adverse reaction.Sensitive skinpatients with a higher incidence of cosmetic adverse reaction.Contact dermatitis induced by cosmetics is the most common cosmetic adverse reaction.Patch testing is helpful in identifying the contact allergens in cosmetic adverse reaction.
