With the development of oil refining industry,the country has produced different viscosity grades of hydrogenation base oil which are the main component of the development of high-grade oil.Lubricating oil with hydrogenated oil is less likely to generate precipitation,sludge and corrosion by-products,and the increase of the oil viscosity is also small.The oxidation stability of the base oil is the most significant influence on the performance of the lubricating oil.But base oil is a very complex mixture of chemical composition.The difference between different components and their content in base oil has a great influence on the oxidation stability of base oil.It is generally believed that the key to solve the problem is to improve the oxidation resistance of base oil and its impressibility to additives.To know the relationship between the chemical composition and oxidation stability of base oil is the fundamental to improve the quality of base oil.PetroChina Lanzhou Lubricating oil R&D institute has made detailed studies on the relationship between the chemical composition and oxidation stability of 6 kinds hydrogenated base oil produced from 3 Petrochemical Company of petrochina.In the course of the study,it was found that the antioxidant properties and anti wear performance of API group II and III hydrogen based oil of different batches vary greaty.The production of different raw materials may cause changes in the composition of the structure.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out detailed research on the same grade base oil of different batches which produced from and different raw materials,recognize the difference of structural composition and oxidation stability.This study choose the API group II and III base oil produced by different raw materials from Daqing Petrochemical Company and SL250 N hydrogenated base oil from Ssangyong petrochemical Company as reference oil were studied.The structure of the hydrogenated base oil composition has been analyzed by mass spectrometry,fluorescence spectrometry,nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and other methods.Changes in composition and properties before and after oxidation,the law of oxidation of several base oils,and long period of several base oil storage performance change has been studied using rotary bomb oxidation test,high pressure differential scanning calorimetry,oven oxidation,lubricating oil oxidation stability evaluation method,internal combustion engine oil oxidation stability evaluation methods and other methods.The receptivity of base oil on antioxidant has also been studied.
