Ecological security pattern is considered to be a basic security and important way to achieve ecological security of region or city in China.Mindong is one of the most prospective coastal cities in the west-strait economic zone.Under playing a significant coastal geographical location advantages,resources advantages and driven by the urban infrastructure,such as Wenfu high-speed railway,Shenhai highway and so on,its regional economic has been developed significantly in recent years.Although its economic is developing,but urban ecosystem has suffered a certain degree of threat and destruction,it brought environment infrastructure lag issues,poor ecological environment quality problems,water quality decline issues and so on.These phenomena present new challenges to ecological security and sustainable development in Mindong.On the basis of Mindong remote sensing image data of three critical periods(1990,2001,2007)and socio-economic data,landscape ecological security patterns of flood control,biological conservation,cultural heritage protection,waters protection and recreation were constructed by using 3S technology,theory and method of landscape ecological security pattern and landscape indices.And these patterns were staked into a comprehensive ecological security pattern.These patterns were divided into differentsecurity levels of ecological infrastructure.This paper analyzed the dynamic changes of Mindong ecological security patterns in differdent period and features of spatial development patterns.It provides practical basis of ecological spatial planning and sustainable development in Mindong region.The main results are as follows:(1)Landscape ecological security patterns of flood control,biological conservation,cultural heritage protection,waters protection and recreation were constructed by using 3S technology in three periods.Ecological infrastructure was mainly distributed in middle-south region which has more waters,natural and cultural resources in Mindong,but it was contrary in northeast.Middle-south region was key region to implement protection for natural resources and landscape process,and maintain ecological security pattern sustainably.(2)It analyzed the dynamic change of Mindong ecological security patterns in 1990,2001 and 2007 with the help of software platform ArcGIS 9.3?Fragstats 3.3:(DWhen analyzing the dynamic change of flood control security patterns,it was found that the area of high level security is the biggest,which is 671km2,5%of the area of Mindong.During 1990-2007,the number of total patch has been decreased in 14.4%.The density and aggregate index are in trend of increase.?In 2007,the area of high level of biological security structure is 1666km2,which is 12.4%of the whole.The change trend during 1990-2007 is as followed:the number,density,fractal dimension,fragmentation index of patch have increased.The average area of patch,contagion index and aggregate index has decreased.?During 1999-2001,low level/middle level/high level of culture heritage protection security patterns area were in trend of increase.The number,density Fractal dimension,fragmentation index of patch were in trend of decrease.The area of patch,contagion index and aggregate index were increased.?The rate of water security patterns area was-57%during 1990-2007.The number,density fractal dimension,fragmentation index of patch were in trend of decrease.?The trend of the area of low level recreation protection security patterns was decreased first and then increased.And the middle level was in trend of increase.During 1990-2007,the patch number of structure was in trend of decrease with the rate of-16.7%.?The area of low level compound ecological security patterns was about 20%-30%of the whole Mindong area,the middle level was about 50%-60%,and the high level was about 70%-80%.The compound ecological pattern patch number was increasing and the area of patch was in trend of decrease.Contagion index and aggregate index were in trend of decrease,the density and dimension of patch were in trend of increase.(3)Based on three different level of ecological security patterns,we explored the features of Mindong spatial development patterns:?Low security level:every ecological system keeps matter cycle and energy flow running on the lowest level,it can support fresh air,food,entertainment,security aesthetic and other natural service normally in a short time.?Middle security level:every ecological system can make their own ecological function realized relatively well.?High security level:every ecological system can ensure their own function realized on good condition and support natural service in a long time normally,also,the natural service is increasing.
