Located in the southwest of Sichuan Province,Panxi area is an economic area with huge development potential.During the 13 th Five-Year Planning,Panxi area has got a rare historical opportunity while the government is promoting the construction of “One Belt One Road” and “Yangtze River Economic Zone”,further implementing Western Development Strategy, and taking action on accelerating the construction of Pan-Xi National Strategic Innovation and Development Pilot Zone.Meanwhile,Panxi area is an extremely important ecological status for the crucial bearing area for the ecological barrier in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the national key prevention and control zone for soil and water conservation. And since the 1970 s,with the development of economy, the speed of industrialization and urbanization in Panxi region accelerating, the development of strength increasing, the land use changing obviously, the disorder spread of construction land expansion and the unreasonable use of land use status intensifing increasingly, and it has caused a variety of ecological and environmental problems, including environmental pollution, resource waste, landscape ecological fragmentation, biodiversity decline, etc.,which has brought great challenges to the construction of regional ecological civilization and sustainable development. At present, the research on the pattern of ecological security has become an important way to alleviate the contradiction between ecological protection and economic development. Therefore, under the new development opportunities,it is of great significance for formulating and improving the decision-making for government departments to ease the contradiction between regional economic development and ecological protection, collaboratively promoting ecological governance and development by researching on the land use and ecological security pattern in Panxi area and clarifying the spatial and temporal changes in land use and the distribution of the ecological security pattern. This paper takes Huili County, the strategic resource innovation and development pilot area of Pan-Xi and the key area of building Yangtze River ecological barrier in Sichuan Province,as the research area.Based on the "3S" technology,LUCC information of the research area were extracted in 2005,2010,2015 and 2018,and the spatiotemporal change characteristics of LUCC in Huili County were analyzed. On this basis, extracted ecological sources and expansion sources, constructed resistance surfaces, identified ecological corridors, and then finished the identification of the ecological security pattern by overlying the ecological security pattern and land use ecological suitability zoning basing on MCR model, and finally proposed optimization and protection suggestions on the contradiction between regional economic development and ecological protection,it provides supporting data for economic and industrial development plans in Huili, and also provides ideas for alleviating the conflict between economic development and environmental protection in Panxi. There are the main conclusions of this study:(1)Based on the Random Forest Classification method, the interpretation symbols were established to extract the LUCC information of Huili County in 2005,2010,2015 and 2018 from Landsat TM / OLI multispectral image.Combining the DEM and slope, analyzing the terrain distribution characteristics of land-use.The result shows that the land use / cover types are greatly affected by topographic factors in 2018,and the topographic differentiation characteristics are obvious. The overall pattern is mainly forest land and cultivated land, supplemented by other land types.Among them, the forest land covers the largest area, accounting for 53.13%,mainly distributed in the mountainous areas in the north and west;the garden plot is concentrated in the central and southern areas of the study area, and the grassland is distributed in the dry and hot valley climate area along the Jinsha River;cultivated land and construction land Mainly distributed with townships, rivers and highways.(2)Analyzing the land-use change and the intensity in Huili County by constructing a land use / cover transfer matrix, the result shows that the garden plot, forest land, construction land and water area was in a continuous growth trend, while the cultivated land and grassland was in a continuous decrease trend of the study area during 2005-2018.The cultivated land, garden plot, grassland and construction land have a large degree of dynamics and large changes, and the garden plot is the most dynamic and the growth rate is the most obvious among all the types. The conversion between different categories mainly occurred in the flat terrain in the south-central region,it shows that the transfer out is from cultivated land and grassland, and the transfer in is to garden plot and forest land in 2010-2015.(3)Through the evaluation of the importance of ecosystem service functions and the sensitivity of the ecological environment, this paper takes the ecosystem service function extremely important area, ecological environment sensitivity extremely sensitive area and highly sensitive area as the ecological source area in Huili County, which the total area is about 780.61km2.The ecological source area is mainly distributed in Liuhua Town,Yundian Town,Taiping Town,Xiacun Township in the north of Huili County,Luchang Town in the middle of the study area, and Xinfa Town Xin’an Dai Township,Shubao Township and Zhuqing Township and other towns which is along the Jinsha River and it’s tributaries, and the land use cover type is mainly forest land and grassland.Extracts the ecological source and ecological corridor of the study area.According to the morphological spatial pattern analysis(MSPA)and landscape connectivity evaluation, taking forest land and water area as the foreground elements,19 landscape ecological sources were identified, including 17 forest land landscape ecological sources and 2 water landscape ecological sources. On the base of the landscape ecological patches,by selecting the resistance factor, determining the index weights and constructing the comprehensive resistance surface is,171 potential ecological corridors and 22 important ecological corridors were identified in Huili County basing on minimum distance model and gravity model.(4)The paper integrates habitat ecological sources and landscape ecological sources into comprehensive ecological sources, and extracts construction land as an expansion source, obtains the ecological security pattern zoning based on the minimum cumulative resistance model.By overlying ecological corridor, finally identified the ecological security pattern of Huili county. The result shows that the high-level security pattern is 2351.48km2,where mainly distributed in the north, west and southeast of the county;the middle-level ecological security pattern is 818.60km2,where distributed around the high-level security pattern;the low-level security pattern and other areas are 736.78km2 and 611.09km2,where mainly distributed in the central and southern counties. And then, according to the related reference literature, the high-level security pattern is divided into the core protection area(1162.84 km2)and general protection area(1186.64 km2)suitable for ecological land, the medium-level ecological security pattern is divided into ecological buffer zone, and the low-level security pattern is divided, the layout and other areas are divided into production and living areas and key development areas suitable for construction land. And according to different sub-areas and their actual conditions, finally the paper puts forward specific suggestions for development, construction and ecological protection in Huili county.
