Blending two or more polymers is a common means of obtaining excellent materials.However,the polarities of the blends are different resulting in poor compatibility in the most of polymer blends,so the addition of compatibilizers is a key technology.At present,these compatibilizers are single structure,narrow range of applications and other deficiencies.Therefore,it is a hot spot to develop a new and universally compatible compatibilizer.In this paper,a compatibilizer HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO composed of non-polar polyolefin-polar chain-nano graphene oxide sheet was designed and applied to the nylon system.Graphene oxide(GO),glycidyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(GTA),epichlorohydrin(ECH),tetraethylenepentamine(TEPA)and high density polyethylene grafted maleic anhydride(HDPEMA)as raw materials to prepare compatibilizer HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO.The properties of the HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO were studied by FTIR,XRD,TGA.The results showed that grafting of HDPE onto GO,and the grafting ratio of HDPE reached 47.9 wt%.In this paper,MC nylon was modified by HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO and HDPE-g-GO,MC nylon/HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO composite and MC nylon/HDPE composite were prepared by anionic in situ polymerization.The results of TGA,SEM,CA,DSC and mechanical properties showed that the effect of HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO on the properties is more significant than HDPE-g-GO,because the polar chain TEPAE plays a key role.The compatibilizer HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO was prepared by adjusting the mass ratio of HDPE-TEPAE and GO sheet,and the composites were prepared by HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO modifying MC nylon.SEM and CA testing results showed that the addition of compatibilizer improved the compatibility of HDPE and MC nylon.TGA testing results showed that the thermal stability of the composites were significantly improved;DSC testing results showed that HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO played a role of heterogeneous nucleating agent,which makes the nylon molecular chain easier to crystallize at high temperature.When the mass ratio of HDPE-TEPAE and GO sheet is 1.5:1,0.04 wt% of the compatibilizer was added in the MC nylon,the tensile strength,impact strength,compressive strength of the composites were improved by 12.09 %,76.41 %,32.13 % compared with neat MC nylon.At the same time,the water resistance and heat resistance of the composites were obviously improved.The compatibilizer HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO and HDPEMA were added to the PA6/HDPE blends respectively to investigate the compatibilizing effect of the two compatibilizers in the blends.SEM,DMA and CA testing results indicated that HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO was superior to HDPEMA.The tensile strength and impact strength of PA6/HDPE-HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO blends were increased by 16.76 % and 30.97 % compared with PA6/HDPE/HDPEMA blends when 0.1 wt% of the compatibilizer were added in the PA6/HDPE blends.The tensile strength and impact strength of PA6/HDPE-HDPE-TEPAE-g-GO blends were 17.47 % and 36.52 % higher than that of PA6,when the mass ratio of HDPE-TEPAE and GO sheet is 1.5:1.
