With the continuous development of industrial technology,the performance requirements of production equipment are increasingly enhanced,and the application of conveyor belt is more and more extensive.The wear period of the steel supporting roller used in traditional conveyor belt is about three months.After the wear of roller,burr will cause serious damage to the belt,and even scrap the belt,resulting in great loss.And the ceramic roller can play a good role in improving this situation.As a kind of wear-resistant material,ceramics can greatly extend the service life of roller,reduce the frequency of changing roller and improve the production efficiency.Relatively backward of equipments in the production of ceramic roller,adopting the traditional lathe processing,production efficiency is low,quality is poor,this topic research and development of ceramic roller is special sawing machine,which can realize a more sections of a ceramic roller blank cutting,without fixed clamp,replacing cutting without having to remove the brackets,reduce the labor intensity of artificial,improved the production efficiency.Firstly,the paper analyzed the functional requirements of cutting ceramic idlers,gave solutions,designed the overall plan and layout,designed and studied the spindle system,feed system,bed body and support seat,established the three-dimensional model of the machine tool,and drew the two-dimensional drawings used for processing.Then,the cutting performance of the special cutting piece was studied,and the mathematical model of centrifugal force,cutting force and thermal stress was established,and the influence of each force on cutting performance was analyzed,and the optimization and improvement measures were given accordingly.After that,according to the overall study of the spindle system with cut pieces installed,the modal analysis of the spindle system is carried out by using the dynamic characteristic analysis method,and the first six order natural frequency and mode of vibration of the spindle system are obtained.Finally,the two-dimensional drawings used for processing were drawn and the prototype was assembled.In order to verify the performance of the prototype,the orthogonal test method was used to get the experimental scheme,the cutting test wascarried out,and the optimal cutting parameters were obtained according to the cutting results.
