Furan resin has been widely used in the field of corrosion resistance because of its excellent corrosion resistance,thermal stability and wide range of raw materials,simple production process and so on.In recent years,with the gradual expansion of the use of furan resin and the continuous improvement of the quality standard of anti-corrosion engineering,its poor mechanical properties,low cohesive strength and other shortcomings are more and more prominent.Therefore,in recent years,research on the new furan resin is quite active,the modification of performance of furan resin is particularly important.In this paper,furan resin was modified by using graphene oxide and its derivatives with many excellent properties as fillers.Graphene oxide(GO)was prepared by a modified Hummers method,and then GO was functionally modified by ?-methacryloxy propyl trimethoxy silane(KH570)to prepare KH570 modified graphene oxide(KGO).GO/furan resin composites and KGO/furan resin composites were prepared through the solution blending,ultrasonic dispersion and curing by a step increasing temperature.The microstructure and morphology of GO/furan resin composites and KGO/furan resin composites were characterized by means of FTIR,XRD and SEM.The effects of GO and KGO on the mechanical properties,thermal properties and chemical resistance of furan resin were also studied.The results showed that the nanocrystalline graphene graphene(GO)was successfully prepared,and KH570 was successfully grafted onto the GO molecule to obtain KH570 modified graphene oxide(KGO),and KGO had better thermal properties than GO.GO were uniformly dispersed in the furan resin matrix,the addition of GO resulted in a significant improvement in the properties of furan resin.The glass transition temperature and the temperature at 5% weight loss of GO/furan resin composites were 36 ?and 16 ? higher than those of pure furan resin respectively.The char yield of GO/furan resin composites was 3.2% higher than that of pure resin.The Young 's modulus of the GO/furan resin composites increased from 121.4 MPa to 462 MPa,and the tensile strength of the GO/furan resin composite was 72.3% higher than that of pure resin.KGO were better uniformly dispersed in the furan resin matrix,the addition of KGO resulted in a more significant improvement in the properties of furan resin.The glass transition temperature and the temperature at 5% weight loss of KGO/furan resin composites were 143 and 235 respectively,? ?which were higher than those of GO/furan resin composites respectively.The char yield of KGO/furan resin composites can reach 54.3%,which is 3.6% and 0.4 % higher than pure furan resin and GO/furan resin composite.The Young's modulus and tensile strength of KGO/furan resin composites were 506.3 MPa and 12.8 MPa,respectively,which were higher than that of pure resin and GO/furan resin composite.In addition,the incorporation of GO and KGO significantly improved the chemical resistance of furan resin.
