Lubricant market is greatly affected by the global and national macroeconomic situation.Domestic macroeconomic situation has steadily increased in recent years,on the one hand,China’s vehicle population is growing rapidly,on the other hand the demand of medium-to-high grade cars grows steady,which lead to a higher and continuous requirement for both quantity and quality of automotive lubricants and other automobile maintenance products.As for industrial lubricant,although the proportion is about 40% among the whole lubricant structure,industrial lubricants apply in all fields of national economy,also is closely related to industrial production,especially in steel,cement,mining,power,non-ferrous metals,equipment manufacture and other industries.Meanwhile,the rising of international crude oil price makes the prices of various base oil and additives continue to rise.At the same time,the serious market competition gradually weakens the external advantages,and optimizing the service structure and supply chain structure becomes more and more effective.As far as the integration and optimization of supply chain structure is concerned,it is of vital importance to do well in lubricant inventory management and reduce the cost of production,storage,transportation and other aspects.This article analyzes the current situation of lubricant enterprise inventory management and conduct the thorough research to the inventory management theory,found these problems as below,unreasonable raw material inventory level,the monotonous raw materials management process,the unreasonable product inventory levels,and the lack of efficient information communication between the customer,and so on.This article studies the internal and external inventory management methods,that is,the lean management for internal and the collaborative planning forecasting and replenishment management(CPFR)for external.Through the effective application of these methods,customer satisfaction has been greatly improved,internal inventory management process has been streamlined and efficiency improved,laying a solid foundation for the future business value chain integration of the lubricant industry.
