Research On The Parameters Of Clothing Diamond Pattern Based On Kansei Engineering

After a long process of material civilization accumulation,the pursuit of mental and psychological is gradually put on the agenda,and then the concept of the design is also changing and moving from " product-centered" towards " consumer-centered ".Consumers are more important than any time.Therefore,Kansei engineering is to become the most popular research method which can combine consumers' abstract perceptual intention with concrete design elements,and all kinds of exciting design work are always contain this design philosophy.After decades of development,Kansei engineering has been applied in many fields,including the textile and clothing industry,but in the stage of data collection,there are no many perceptual researches on the clothing diamond pattern,so this paper will carried out from these two points.Firstly,diamond pattern is described from the aspect of aesthetic characteristics,common classification,development and evolution,and the application in fashion design,meanwhile the related contents of Kansei engineering are discussed in this paper,and it can understand the research object,method roundly.Secondly,Kansei engineering theory is used as a guide to filter 28 kinds of different angle,pattern width,decoration position,decorative pattern of diamond pattern clothing and 6 pairs of adjectives with opposite meaning,18-45 years of consumers are the testers.The testers' perceptual evaluation on the different diamond pattern is obtained by the research.And then the relationship between diamond pattern design elements and perceptual psychology is obtained by the statistical analysis of experimental data.Finally,four conclusions are obtained through the summary of full text.Firstly,the four aesthetic features of diamond patterns,the classification and development of three common diamond patterns,the applications of diamond pattern in fashion design are obtained through the reading and sorting of literature.Secondly,the samples with higher score in 6 pairs of perceptual evaluation are obtained by the investigation and experiment,it can provide intuitive image references for designers and consumers.The common samples are 15,1,13,5,12,21,the fashionable samples are 9,24,11,14,17,23,the complex samples are 5,13,12,11,22,1,the minimalist samples are 7,10,2,20,7,28,the masculine samples are 19,27,14,1,12,15,the feminine samples are 25,22,18,20,11,23,the rugged samples are 15,13,12,1,19,26,the refined samples are 4,9,11,17,3,23,the obese samples are 12,13,5,15,28,8,the slim samples are 23,16,10,18,9,27,the dislike samples are 1,5,15,26,13,18,the favorite samples are 20,3,19,9,17,23,in which the female preferred samples are 4,3,24,17,19,23 and the male preferred samples are 7,14,17,19,23,27.Thirdly,the correspondence of consumers' fashion pursuit and design elements are received by the summary of the experimental results,which provides the references of clothing diamond pattern parameters for the related person.a.The design parameters of fashionable clothing diamond pattern is: diamond vertex angle is ?70°or?85°,pattern width is ?1/4 hem(low density patterns),generally have a decorative pattern(in the majority with lines,geometric shapes),in addition to the normal position,the special decorative position can also bring the fashionable feeling.b.The design parameters of minimalist clothing diamond pattern is: diamond vertex angle is around 60 °to 80 °,the majority pattern width is 1/4 hem to equal to the hem width,the decorative pattern is line or no decorative pattern,meanwhile avoid to full decoration.c.The design parameters of masculine clothing diamond pattern is: diamond vertex angle is 60 °,65 °,80 ° and 85 °,pattern width is small or big with no regularity,with line or no decorative pattern,simple spread in the clothing parts or the whole.d.The design parameters of feminine clothing diamond pattern is: diamond vertex angle is 70 ° or ?50 ° or 90 °,the majority pattern width is 1/4 hem to equal to the hem width,mostly with decorative pattern.f.The design parameters of refined clothing diamond pattern is similar to the fashionable clothing diamond pattern,diamond vertex angle is 60 °to 75 ° or ?85°,pattern width is ?1/4 hem(low density patterns),mostly with decorative pattern.g.The design parameters of slim clothing diamond pattern is: diamond vertex angle is? 75 °,pattern width is 1/5--1/3 hem,the decorative pattern is line or no decorative pattern,these patterns decorate all the parts of garment or the front bodice or just the middle of front bodice,and appeared in strip shape.Fourthly,through the analysis of the comprehensive emotional evaluation of men and women,the different fashion pursuit sequences between different genders are obtained when they select diamond pattern clothing.For women,the fashion degree and precision of the diamond pattern are the most important,followed by the effect of simplicity,femininity and slimness.For men,the masculine of diamond pattern is the most important,followed by the effect of simplicity,fashion,precision and slimness.This paper can provide accurate design judgment for designers more conveniently,which is able to design more suitable diamond pattern clothing,and make a truly humanized,absorbed design.Meanwhile,it is helpful for combining consumers' perceptual intention with design elements and avoiding a difficult choice when you go shopping.
