| In the field of individual protection,more and more attention has been paid on the stab-resistant clothes.At present,sheet or fish scale stab-resistant clothes made of metal or other hard plates have been widely used in various fields.With the application of high performance fibers,protective products became lighter and softer.So in the dissertation,the hard resin flakes and high performance fabrics were effectively combined to form stab-resistant materials to improve their stab resistance and wear comfort.There are some main results as the following:(1)It was assumed that resin flakes with different shapes had the same area and the porosity(p)of composites was constant.According to the above preconditions,the void width(w)and area(S)between resin flakes could be calculated.Comparing these values of various shapes of resin flakes,it was found that the w and S values of regular hexagon were the smallest.So the composites which combined orthohexagonal resin flakes with UHMWPE fabric had the optimum stab resistance ability.The geometrical sizes of the composites were also determined.The length and thickness of orthohexagonal resin flakes,and the void width were 5.5mm,1.5mm,0.48 mm,respectively.(2)Due to the chemical inertness of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)fiber,it has the poor interfacial bonding property.Chromic acid solution was selected as the surface treatment method to improve the interfacial bonding property of UHMWPE fabric.(3)After the surface treatment,UHMWPE fabric was bonded with resin flakes by adhesives to prepare the stab-resistant composite.Next,the quasi-static puncture experiments were carried out on the composites.It was found that the puncture energies varied when the knives pierced the different locations of the single-ply composite materials.Moreover,when every location of stab-resistant clothes made of multiply composites was covered on four layer resin flakes,the entirely clothes could stop knives to penetrate.(4)By the theoretical calculation and analysis,the protective effects of composites were consistent with the practical measured effects.The composites had the best stab-resistant ability,when the knives impacted on the center of each resin flake. |
