With the rapid development of industrialization,environmental pollution caused by industrial production is becoming more and more serious.It is an effective way to solve industrial pollution by using textile filter material to filter liquid and gas in industrial production.Polypropylene woven filter fabric has many excellent properties,such as high strength,acid and alkali resistance,anti fouling,antibacterial and good dimensional stability.And it has been one of the main filtration materials in pharmaceutical,food and chemical industries.However,there is a lack of systematic evaluation on the structure and properties of polypropylene woven filter fabric.In this paper,polypropylene woven cloth as the research object,through the performance test of polypropylene filament material,finishing of polypropylene fabric performance comparison,and the polypropylene woven cloth dry heat resistance test,to provide reference data for the production of polypropylene woven cloth and a systematic evaluation on the performance of polypropylene woven fabric.The contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Evaluation of the properties of polypropylene filamentThe surface morphology,contact angle,DSC,dry heat shrinkage and tensile fracture properties of 93 tex PP filament were tested.From the surface morphology,the longitudinal surface of the PP filament is smooth.The contact angle of PP filament is 110 ° and melting point is158.53 ?.The dry heat shrinkage of PP filament at 80??100??120??140? was measured.Then it was found that the dry heat shrinkage of PP filament increased non-linearly with the increase of temperature,and the shrinkage of PP filament increased from 0.65% to 23.6% in relaxed state,while the shrinkage increased from 0.1% to 3.55 % when it is stretched.In addition,both kinds of PP multifilament rupture strength are above 58 c N/tex.(2)Preparation of polypropylene woven filter fabricSelect 93 tex,120 twist /m PP filament yarn for warp,93 tex,0 twist /m filament as weft yarn,and five kinds of warp and weft density of 299×118?268×118?236×118?236×130?236×102 were used to weave 2/2 twill filter fabric on Dornier rapier loom.Then the filter cloth was finished in different ways and 15 kinds of polypropylene fabric filter fabric were prepared.Besides the structural parameters,such as the warp and weft density,the weight,and the thickness of the filter cloth are tested.(3)Effect of finishing on the performance of polypropylene woven filter fabricThe unfinished,heat setting and setting-calendering samples as the research object,through the test of these three kinds of sample surface morphology,pore size,permeability and tensile breaking strength to evaluate finishing effect on the properties of PP woven filter fabric.The results show that the surface of the finished filter fabric is flat and the structure is tight,but thefibers in the setting-calendering filter fabric are partially melted.After finishing,the pore diameter and air permeability of the filter fabirc decreased,in which the average pore size reduction of about 50%,while the amount of air permeability reduction fluctuations.The strength of the filter fabric after finishing is increased by 27.53%,while the strength of the filter cloth after setting-calendering is not significantly changed.(4)Thermal properties of polypropylene woven filter fabricFirstly,Polypropylene woven filter fabric was dry-heat treated at 80??100??120??140?.And the thermal properties of the PP woven filter fabric are evaluated by testing the DSC curve,the dry heat shrinkage rate and the mechanical property retention rate of the filter fabric before and after the dry heat treatment.The results show that the melting point of polypropylene woven filter fabric at different temperatures is within the range of 157~159 ?,and the fluctuation is relatively small.The dry heat shrinkage of filter fabric increases with the increase of dry heat treatment temperature,and the shrinkage rate can be increased from 3.67% to 21.33%.Polypropylene woven filter fabric after 120 ? for dry processing,biggest drop in the amount of air permeability.When the dry heat treatment temperature is more than 120 ?,the strength retention rate of polypropylene woven filter fabric is below 80%.
