Because of the specialties of high intensity,toughness and abrasion resistance,high carbon steel wire rod is the main materials in the manufacture of steel strand,cord and spring,etc.The research and development of high carbon steel wire rod has an important strategic value and practical significance.It is also the current research hot and difficult point of major steel companies and research institutions.This paper relies on the steelmaking and rolling equipment at Da Gang,through industrial tests,studies the influence of each major process on the microstructure and properties of high carbon steel wire rod.It provided theoretical and technical support for the application and development of related steel species.This paper mainly analyses the control of spinning temperature of the 70~#high carbon steel wire rod and the control of the Stormmore air-cooled roller table.The tests show that the ideal spinning temperature of 70~#high carbon steel wire rod is controlled at 870?~880?,which is beneficial to obtain the fine supercooling Austenite structure.At this temperature,the surface of the wire rod oxide less and it also provides phase change conditions for the following wire in the air-cooled roller table.The ideal temperature drop of 70~#high carbon steel wire rod in the phase transition process is9?.It is conductive to get more pearlite or sorbite organizations which are conducive to drawing,On this basis,a plan of controlled rolling process and cooling of70~#high carbon steel rod was written.Based on the plan,production has achieved good results.In addition,the authors found that the high carbon steel wire rod has timeliness especially the section shrinkage.If the production of wire rods in the treasury stacking about 7 days,the section shrinkage can be significantly increased by about 15%.Therefore,the enterprises in the production of high-carbon steel wire rod was proposed to stack 7 days before delivery.
