The Innovative Design And Application Research On The Stripe In Clothing

As a decorative element,stripe has a long history in the application of clothing.After World War II,stripes are used as common design elements in daily wear.With the innovation of the fashion design methods,the progress of the garment technology and the gradual diversification of the aesthetic of clothing consumers,the application of stripes in clothing gradually broke through the traditional aesthetic concepts,showing a variety of styles and forms.Under such circumstances,the problems need to be solved in this paper are the innovative ways of stripes;the aspects that designers could seek for inspiration and how should we make use of the features and arrange them properly on the clothes.The approach I adopt to solve the problem is through the understanding of the stripe characteristics and aesthetic rules;makes case studies of the existing stripe innovation design;and explores the innovative methods and the application rules in the fashion design of the graduation project.The results obtained in the application research including the relation of lines in the stripe to the human body curve and dynamic changes;the innovation can be inspired by other fields such like science and culture;stripes can be combined with the pattern,use the characteristics of the repetition,order,directionality of the stripes to balance the character of the pattern.In terms of innovative design,author starting from design inspiration,combining the characteristics of stripes,the aesthetic rules and the analysis of innovation cases for striped garments,we use the design method of "first making and then matching" for stripe design,and study out the serialized clothing with stripes as the main design elements.These conclusions provide some reference for the innovative design of striped clothing and the research of stripes.
