In the textile industry,staple yarn comes to become more and more important.The high qualified yarn and its fabric with excellent functions will bring huge economic benefits.Therefore,aiming at overcoming the shortcomings and solving difficulties of high rigidity fiber cohesive twisting,excessive hairiness creation during spinning,the ring spinning technology and online thermal ironing technology were combined;meanwhile the yarn formation structure was regulated online to get a high qualified soft and smooth yarn structure;the soft smooth spinning equipment was developed for an industrial application to get high-quality yarns;the related soft and smooth yarn and its fabric structure and properties were analyzed including yarn mechanical properties,micro-structure,surface hairiness and evenness properties;all these studies can provide guidance and reference for the technology of high-quality yarn and its production function.The specific contents and conclusions of this subject are as follows:(1)By analyzing key factors influencing the hard convergence into a twisted yarn of high rigidity fibers,soft and smooth yarn formation method was established by online decreasing fiber rigidity to improve fiber deformation and bending abilities.The soft and smooth yarn formation mechanism and process were studied.Results of the study showed that soft and smooth spinning method could improve hairiness of cotton/ramie blended yarn;in specialty the yarn hairiness eliminating ratio increased as the spun yarn count becomes smaller,the spinning speed lower,the fiber suffer more sufficient heating,the fiber modulus get larger decrease.(2)based on above mechanism analysis and process research results,soft and smooth spinning devices were improved by employing an grooved condensing system to enhance the fiber control during the yarn formation process.Then the improved devices were used to produce soft and smooth yarn of high rigidity Ten-bamboo fibers yarns.Results indicated that compared with the conventional spun yarns,soft and smooth Ten-bamboo yarn has smooth surface,low hairiness and good evenness,high tenacity and elongation due to high fiber utilization,high flexibility due to inner fiber serious migrations.The designed and improved soft and smooth spinning mechanism were successfully used for industrial application.(3)Compared with the fabrics made of conventional spun yarns,fabrics of soft and smooth yarns had the smooth and apparent surface appearance,increased air and moisture permeability,easy bending performances,improved flexibility due to inner yarn structure;the smooth fabric also had the large wear resistance,high resistance of pilling and the fabric damage.
