| The cooling system play an important role in the injection mold,which directly affects the production efficiency and product quality.Traditional cooling channels are limited by the processing ways which means channels can only be processed into straight line shape,so the distance between the channels and the product is different.Conformal cooling channels can fit mold cavity properly,the distance between channels and product is always at a certain value.So conformal cooling channels can get a better temperature control.With the funding support from Guangdong industry-university-research cooperation project(2014B090901062),we studyed the design of conformal cooling channeling and presented a new method for generating topology of conformaling cooling channel based on equidistant cross section.In this paper,the advantages of the conformal cooling channels are introduced.On the basis of analyzing and summarizing the design flow of the traditional cooling channels,we combine the conformal cooling channel with the traditional cooling channel,and present generating and optimizing system of conformal cooling channel.The common design methodology of the conformal cooling channel all related to the shape of the part,and the part section can represent a layer of part,a series of cross-sections can represent the entire part,so we proposed a new method for generating topology of conformaling cooling channel based on equidistant cross section.First,cross-sections are generated and pretreated to close into a ring,and then conformal cooling centerline are generated in the adjacent section.In the process,the technique about offset and fairing curve were studied and used in the generation of conformal cooling channels.How to determine the best layout parameters of the cooling channel is very important,excellent layout parameters can contribute to better temperature control.In this paper,BoxBehnken experimental design,response surface method and NSGA-II algorithm are studied and integrated into the system to obtain the optimization parameters of the part automatically.First,the Box-Behnken experimental design are determined,and CAE analysis is applied for each item of design.Then the mathematical model is obtained by fitting the analytical data.At last we use NSGA-II algorithm to solve the multi-objective optimization function of the cooling time t and warping deformation w and obtain the optimal solution of Pareto.Based on the above research,generating and optimizing system of conformal cooling channel is developed on the NX platform,and the main function of the system is introduced by a part instance,which proved the effectiveness and feasibility of the system. |
