Based on the extensive application of cutting fluid used in the machining industry,this paper studies the mechanism of the regenerative cutting fluid by process of electro-coagulation and ozone sterilization.The effect of changing the current density,electrode spacing,energizing time and changing pole period on suspended solids,COD,conductivity and filtration performance and the effect of ozone sterilization time on the removal rate of bacteria in the cutting fluid were monitored.The dynamic reaction process was monitored and the optimum reaction conditions were obtained.Simultaneously,the performance indexes of cutting fluid after purified and repaired were discussed and evaluated:antifoaming performance,anticorrosion performance,antirust performance and lubrication performance.On this basis,cutting fluid purification and recycling equipment was designed and tested.Finally,it summarizes the instructions of cutting fluid and the precautions of maintenance and management,which provides an important theoretical basis for safely production and management from enterprise.The concrete research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Laboratory electro-coagulation reaction tank was self-made,which is used for process of electro-coagulation and ozone sterilization in the laboratory to purify online using cutting fluid.(2)The cutting fluid was used as the experimental object,and the aluminum plate was used as the electrode,and the experiment was carried out by using the process of electric-coagulation and ozone sterilization.The effects of four factors such as current density,electrode spacing,energizing time and inverted time on the removal rate of suspended solids,COD,conductivity and filtration performance and the effect of ozone sterilization time on the total removal rate of bacteria were investigated by single factor experiment.(3)By investigating the dynamic reaction process of electro-coagulation,the optimum experimental conditions were obtained:the current density was 15mA/cm~2,the plate spacing was 10mm,the energizing time was 20min,and the permutation period was 15s,the SS removal rate of cutting fluid could be 92.12%.Ozone sterilization time is 10min,sterilization rate reached up to 99.96%.(4)The performance of the cutting fluid after purified and repaired was evaluated by antifoaming performance,anticorrosion performance,antirust performance and lubrication performance.The evaluation results showed that it meets the requirements which are from the synthetic cutting fluid(GB/T 6144-2010)",and continue to be used.(5)Based on test of being purified online cutting fluid in the laboratory and improving the existing purification,a device purifying cutting fluid by the process of electro-coagulation and ozone sterilization was designed.The equipment has some advantages of the higher efficiency of removal of particles,smaller foot print,no dosing,less mud of production and higher degree of automation than traditional mature device.(6)The cutting fluid was sent to the equipment through the diaphragm pump,and the cutting fluid in the equipment was operated repeatedly by being purified cyclically within 5 hours,taking a sample every hour,to detect pH,conductivity,COD,total bacteria,oil content,suspended solids and other indicators,until the indicators meet the"synthetic cutting fluid(GB/T 6144-2010)"for the best cycle time.Determining the optimal cycle time of the equipment is 1 to 2 hours.pH is about 8.5,the COD loss rate of effluent is less than 10%,the sterilization rate can reach up to 99.6%,the removal rate of oil content is 90%,and the removal rate of suspended solids is 95%.The filtration performance,antifoaming performance,anticorrosion performance and antirust performance were elevated substantially.Using the equipment to purify cutting fluid extends greatly its used cycle.It indicates that the method of using equipment to purify cutting fluid is fully effective and feasible.
