Hong Kong has become an important trading port since the Nanjing Treaty became a British colony.Chinese people,mainly Lingnan,and foreigners,mainly British,have gathered in Hong Kong,making Hong Kong a mixed social feature.Hong Kong's society is mainly composed of migrant populations and is broadly divided into two categories,Chinese and foreign.Among these are the four major groups of Cantonese,Hakka,Yijia,and Welfare who have had early immigration from China,and the recent immigration of businessmen and workers from the Chinese mainland.Refugees,foreigners have government officials,merchants,missionaries from Europe and the United States,and they bring along people from India,Portugal,and other places.These people belong to different background cultures and costumes but live together.This Hong Kong Island.In the period of the Republic of China,Hong Kong experienced an era of constant exploration.The 19 th Revolution abolished the feudal hierarchy and etiquette system,promoted the May 4th Movement's new culture,coupled with the growth of seaborne trade,the impact of the new western material culture,and traditional costumes.And innovation,alternating between Chinese and Westernization.During this period,the western dress culture developed continuously from mutual independence to mutual influence,which enabled Hong Kong to present a costume cultural landscape that is parallel to China and the West and old and new.Taking 1911-1949 as the timeline,this article collects,reviews,and collates literature on humanistic costumes in Hong Kong,uses a combination of text and images,and incorporates Hong Kong ' s cultural backgrounds such as the geographical environment,political economy,social culture,and religious customs.During the period of interpretation of Hong Kong male costumes,this study studied the artistic characteristics of costumes,including the styles,fabrics,and accessories of Chinese men and foreign male costumes,and longitudinally analyzed the unique style of Hong Kong men during this period;Different strata and occupations are divided into military and political officials,businessmen,and ordinary citizens,etc.,to analyze the image of their costumes,and to find the hiddenaesthetic tastes behind clothing and the inspiration for modern dress design.Hong Kong apparel presents both the traditional characteristics of Lingnan and the trend of European and American styles.It is a bridgehead for the transformation of Chinese clothing in modern clothing.This article aims to explore the basic characteristics,cultural connotations,and cultural interaction between Chinese and Western clothing in Hong Kong from 1911 to 1949,and then to demonstrate that modern Hong Kong clothing has a blend of eastern and western cultures,strong in the times,and is a modern Chinese fashion.The characteristics of the weathervane.
