Study Use Image Of Contemporary Jewelry Design

Contemporary jewelry is no longer just a traditional sense of jewelry concept.It has been popular since 1950 s from the art and art world with its main emphasis on the concept of the creative process,materials and ways of presentation more than restricted to precious metals.but for jewelry designers and artists to better express their inner feelings.Like painting sculpture,it is a kind of art and also a form of artistic expression.As an element and carrier,image has a unique position and advantage in the design of contemporary jewelry.This combination is not novel and has been studied and created by the predecessors' related works.The function of this paper is to discuss how the image is used in contemporary jewelry through the form of theory.It is the core of this paper to study the application of image in contemporary jewelry design.In order to study the transformation of image from two to three dimensions,I designed Butterfly and Eyes as the basis of practice and achieved the desired results.Man,Tree,Architecture demonstrates the advantage of image on color.In the selection of materials,for example Become a Butterfly,I used resin as the binder for metal and paper.Finally I discussed the applicability and collectability of the work.The work that I design is not just for wearing,but as a carrier of ideas.Concluded from the above research,the superiority of image application in contemporary jewelry design is obvious.It is subdivided into several aspects of authenticity and intuitiveness,reproducibility and emotional transmission,and its advantages are explained with the works.It is very persuasive to discuss the gist of this paper by means of theory and practice.
