Application Of Bian Embroidery Art In Dress Design

Bian embroidery is the representative of the Central Plains embroidery art.During the Northern Song Dynasty,the development of the Bian embroidery art has reached the highest stage.It is also famous in East Asia and has a profound impact on the development of modern embroidery.In 1959,the first large-scale work of “The Qingming Shanghe Diagram”,which was Bian embroidered with the embroidery technique,was sent to Beijing as a celebration of the 10 th anniversary of the National Day and was displayed in the Henan Hall of the Great Hall of the People.This work has become a classic in the embroidery art and is well-known both at home and abroad.In 2008,the Bian embroidery art was included in the second batch of“National Intangible Cultural Heritage”.Bian embroidery has a long history of art and profound cultural heritage.Its crafts and aesthetic values of "using a stylus to draw a line with halo" have long enjoyed a good reputation both at home and abroad.It has a certain representation of handcraft skills and historical and cultural research value.At present,embroidery dresses are becoming more and more popular,embroidery designs have become more and more diversified,it has become a popular trend to apply embroidery art to the design of dresses,and it is in line with international fashion trends.This article researches and analyzes the Bian embroidery art and applies it to the dress design to further enhance the cultural connotation and aesthetic value of the dress.Through the in-depth analysis of color matching,themes and manual techniques of Bian embroidery art,the overall artistic features and technological features of Bian embroidery art are summarized.This article takes the design of seven sets of female dresses as an example,takes the embroidery art as its inspiration,and uses its classic work“The Qingming Shanghe Diagram”as a design element.The style is based on the main characteristics of Song Dynasty nobles' costumes and dresses.Through the application practice of the embroidery art in the dress design,it is expected that the art of embroidery will be used to bring unique aesthetic experience to people's dresses;at the same time,through the understanding and practice of the embroidery art during the dress production process to arousepeople's memory and attention to this traditional history and culture,in order to bring about a certain role in promoting the inheritance and development of handicrafts.
