Traffic safety of expressway is very important.In order to ensure traffic safety,effective safety evaluation of expressway is essential.Therefore,the research emphasis of this paper is to carry out empirical research on the operation safety evaluation of mountainous expressway based on multi-method combination.In order to solve the traffic safety problem of mountainous expressway in operation phase and improve the operation efficiency and safety service of mountainous expressway.This paper relies on Luosong section of Luoluan high speed highway project in Henan Province.According to the current "Highway Engineering Technical Standards",this section of the road was checked and evaluated for compliance with design specifications.Through the statistics of the traffic volume and traffic accident,This paper analyzes the characteristics of the accident from the aspects of time,space,accident weather,accident vehicle type,accident reason and accident shape,and analyzes the causes of the accident from the aspects of people,vehicles,roads,environment and management.The concept and method of running speed are combined to analyze the measured speed of the vehicle in this section based on the on-site data of the vehicle speed measurement.The statistical analysis of the running speed coordination of adjacent sections and the coordination of design speed and running speed of the same section Based on the results of speed coordination analysis,reasonable and feasible speed management measures are put forward to standardize the driving speed of road vehicles and improve the road traffic safety.Through a comparative study of various evaluation methods and the empirical research results of Luosong section of Luoluan High Speed,the comprehensive method system and main evaluation contents of the operation safety evaluation of expressways in mountainous areas are summarized through the combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,including: The evaluation of design specifications conformity,Evaluation of Highway Traffic Safety Status and the safety evaluation based on the speed of operation provide a set of objective,scientific,systematic and operational safety evaluation system for the operation safety assessment of mountain expressway.In this paper,an empirical study on the operation safety evaluation of Luosong section of Luoluan High Speed Railway is provided to provide reference for the operation safety evaluation of similar mountainous expressway projects in our country.It is of greatimportance to effectively improve the operational safety status of the expressway in our country and improve the road traffic safety assurance capability Role and significance.
